CVS Mock Shopping Trip

I have to admit that I have not been thrilled with the CVS ads the last couple of weeks. If you have been couponing for at least the last couple of months and you've been shopping at CVS and Walgreens you should have enough FREE men's body wash to last you for at least several months. I'm ready for some new freebies!! I'm not complaining...because FREE is GREAT, but I don't think I have room in my toiletry closet for any more men's body wash! :)

This week's mock CVS trip will of course have to include body wash, because it really is a GREAT deal. If you have a surplus of body wash substitue something else, or buy it and GIVE IT AWAY!!

Transaction #1:
2 Gillette Men's Body Wash $4.00 each

-use coupon for $4.00 off 2 Gillette Men's Body Wash (found in 5/2 Proctor and Gamble insert)
-or use coupon for Buy one Gillette Body Wash Get one FREE (found in 6/6 Proctor and Gamble insert)
Final Price: Pay $4.00 (This week Gillette Men's Body Wash will trigger a $4.00 Extra Care Buck. Since you bought two of them, an $8.00 Extra Care Buck will print on the bottom of your receipt. This can be used as store cash to help lower the cost of other items you may buy.)

Transaction #2:
Schick Hydro 3 or Hydro 5 Razor $8.97

-use coupon for $5.00 off Schick Hydro Razor (found in 6/13 SmartSource insert)
Cover Girl Wetslicks $4.99
-use coupon for $1.00 off Cover Girl Product (found in 6/6 Proctor and Gamble insert)
-use $8.00 Extra Care Buck that you earned from Transaction #1
Final Price: Pay nothing (except tax) You will receive a $4.00 Extra Care Buck (from the Schick Hydro Razor) and a $3.00 Extra Care Buck (from the Cover Girl Wetslicks)

Transaction #3:
3 boxes of General Mills Cereal (3 for $10
)
Let me make a quick note about this...3 boxes for $10.00 is NOT a good deal, but I want to show you how even if something is not a really good deal, if you have Extra Care Bucks to use, it can make even a bad deal, a good deal.
-use coupon for $1.00 off 2 General Mills Cereal (found here)
-use coupon for $0.55 off select General Mills Cereal (found here)
-use $7.00 in Extra Care Bucks that you earned from Transaction #2
Final Price: Pay $1.45. You will receive a $4.00 Extra Care Buck from the General Mills Cereal Deal.

All in all you will pay $5.45 (plus tax) for over $30 of merchandise, and you will still have $4.00 in Extra Care Bucks to use. You can save these for next week or use them to buy grocery staples/cleaning supplies that you might need now. They can pretty much be used just like cash at CVS.
