HEB--Deal on Wrigley's 5 Gum
HEB currently has a deal going where if you buy single packs of Wrigley's 5 gum, you will get one free. This didn't sound like a very good deal to me because they are normally priced at $1.32 a pack. (When in the world did gum get so expensive?) My husband generally goes through a pack of gum every one or two days, so I am always on the lookout for deals on gum.
I noticed that certain flavors of Wrigley's 5 gum is clearance priced at $0.66
Deal idea:
Buy 4 packs of gum at $0.66 each
-use 1 coupon for $1.00 off 2 Wrigley's 5 gum (found here)
-use 2 HEB store coupons for Buy one Wrigley's 5 gum get one free
Final Price: $0.32 for all 4 packs of gum...only $0.08 each
I don't know about you, but I'd much rather pay $0.08 for gum instead of $1.32!!
Note...I found this gum by the register along with the yellow in store coupons. I checked several different lanes and they all had packages of the gum for $0.66. You need to make sure and read the tags and pick up the correct flavor. I think these would be good to throw in Easter baskets for older kids!
HEB--Betty Crocker Instant Potatoes
HEB currently has a deal where if you purchase 10 participating General Mills products you will receive a $5.00 catalina coupon at checkout.
I walked through HEB to see if I could find the best way to do this deal. Here is the best deal I could come up with. (Please let me know if you guys find something better).
BUY 10 pouches of Betty Crocker Instant Mashed Potates $0.76
-These are General Mills products that will trigger the $5.00 Catalina
-HEB also has a store deal going where if you purchase 10 of these you will receive a catalina coupon for $2.00 off any HEB brand item
Final Price: Pay $7.60, but receive 2 catalina coupons (1 for $5.00 and 1 for $2.00 off HEB brand item)
In my opinion, this is a great deal! Even if your family does not use these products, this is a GREAT item to donate.
HEB General Mills Promotion
Here's a little more information about the General Mills promotion that is going on at HEB right now. Go here to read more about it.
It looks like it is going on until April 12, so just a few more days to take advantage of this deal.
Note...the post below shows the transactions I did to take advantage of this deal using NO coupons.
HEB--General Mills Promotion
I went to HEB to try to find some deals this afternoon, and I was very happily surprised. I was walking through the store, and I found a display of Betty Crocker Au Gratin Potatoes with a pink tag on it. I looked at the tag and it said that if you buy 10 select General Mills products you will receive a $5.00 Catalina coupon at checkout and 5 free music downloads. Sounds good to me. :)
There was a list of participating products on the back of the paper, and I didn't notice any size exclusions so I thought I'd do a test run.
Transaction #1:
I purchased 10 pouches of Bisquick...each $0.71.
Final Price: $7.10 and a catalina for $5.00 off my next shopping order printed and a catalina for 5 FREE music downloads
I decided to see if this catalina coupon would roll to another General Mills deal.
Transaction #2;
I purchased 10 pouches of Betty Crocker Instant Potatoes...each $0.76
-used $5.00 catalina from transaction #1
Final Price: $2.60 AND another catalina for $5.00 off my next shopping order printed AND a catalina for $2.00 off any HEB Brand Item AND a catalina for 5 FREE music downloads
In my opinion that is a pretty good deal. I spent a total of $9.70, but I still have a total of $7.00 in catalina coupons to use.
Coupon for Fisher Boy
Go here to print a coupon for $0.75 off any Fisher Boy product.
Fisher Boy Breaded Fish Sticks (96 ct.) are on sale at Albertsons this week...Buy one Get one Free. Albertsons will allow you to use 2 coupons during a BOGO sale, so this might make for a pretty decent deal. Do any of you know what these are priced at right now?
Coupons for Baby Items
I was just looking through the coupons available at coupons.com, and I wanted to point out some pretty high value coupons for baby items. My youngest son has been out of diapers for close to 2 years now, but I remember how expensive baby items could be...Sure wish I knew how to effectively coupon back then.
Baby coupons available:
-$5.00 off one can of Enfagrow Formula (found under Food Category)
-$3.00 off Huggies Diapers (60 ct. or larger) (found under Household category)
-$2.00 off Huggies Diapers (found under Household category)
-$5.00 off VTech Toy ($19.99 or higher) (found under Toys and Games Category) (Not exactly a baby item, but they do have great learning toys for little ones)
Go here to print any of these coupons.

Thanks Hip 2 Save!
Coupon for Starkist
There's another coupon for $0.50 off one Starkist Pouch Product that you can print here. You should be able to print this out twice per computer.
I am hoping that Albertsons puts this on sale for $1.00 in the next few weeks, so we can get some FREE tuna. I believe that Wal-Mart has these priced as low as $0.79, so only $0.29 after coupon. Remember one of the keys to saving money with coupons is to hold on to the coupon until you find a great sale to pair it with.
I think these tuna pouches are so much better than the tuna in the can. You don't have to deal with draining all the water/oil out of the can.
If your family doesn't eat these products, it would still be a great item to pick up and donate to someone.
Coupon for Triscuits/Fresh Produce
A lot of people ask me how I save money on fresh produce. Honestly, that is one of the hardest things for me to find a good deal on. I like to save money on my other groceries so I have more of my grocery budget left to spend on fresh fruits and veggies.
There's a rare coupon for $1.00 off produce when you buy 2 packages of Triscuit Crackers that you can print here.
Note...I printed this coupon so I could check the expiration date. It expires one week from today (April 14). If you were planning on buying Triscuits for your family in the next few days then you might want to consider printing this off. Otherwise, it might be a waste of printer ink for you. I still wanted to let you know about the coupon, so that you can make the best decision for your family's grocery budget.
Thanks A Thrifty Mom!
Another Goldfish Coupon
Go here to print a coupon for $0.35 off one bag of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Grahams. These coupons are pretty rare, so if your family eats these then I would go ahead and print them.
Remember that you should be able to print this coupon twice per computer.
Also, I know $0.35 doesn't seem like a very high value coupon, but this will triple at Albertsons (worth $1.05). Albertsons occasionally puts Goldfish on sale for $1.00 a bag, so with this coupon we might be able to get FREE goldfish. I just printed this coupon, and it doesn't expire until May 23, so hopefully we'll find a good sale in the next several weeks.
One more thing...an ad does print out after the coupon. When that happens, I try to press cancel on the printer as soon as the coupon has printed so I don't waste ink.
Glade Coupons
Target has released a new coupon for $1.00 off 1 Glade Spring Collection air care item. This is a Target coupon that can be combined with a manufacturer's coupon to double your savings.
You can find the Target coupon here. Click on the Household category to find it quickly.
In last week's SmartSource insert there were several Glade coupons you can use with this Target coupon. There are also printable coupons available as well.
Go here to print the following coupons for Glade products:
$1.00 off 2 Glade Jar Candles
$1.00 off Glade Plug In Scented Oil Twin Refill or two Single Refills
$2.00 off 2 Glade Premium Room Sprays
You can also print a coupon for $2.00 off 2 Glade Spring Collection Products here.
When you combine the Target coupon with the manufacturer's coupon you should be able to find a pretty good deal on these products.
Thanks Totally Target!
Coupon Inserts in Sunday's Newspaper
Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that there are supposed to be 2 inserts in this Sunday's newspaper: One SmartSource and One RedPlum.
Go here if you'd like to see a list of the coupons that can be expected in Sunday's newspaper.
Please keep in mind that coupons and their values will vary depending on the region of the country you live in and the newspaper you decide to buy. Our local San Angelo paper never seems to have good coupons. If you live in a smaller town, then I would encourage you to buy a Sunday newspaper from a larger city. The San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston newspapers tend to have a much better variety of coupons. These can be found at grocery stores/gas stations around town. The larger city newspapers do tend to cost more, but the variety/value of the coupons more than make up for the price difference.
The SmartSource insert is supposed to have coupons for Kraft Salad Dressing and Kraft Mayo...those items are part of the buy 10 save $5.00 promotion at Albertsons this week.

Mega Swagbucks Friday!!
It has been quite a while since I've posted anything about Swagbucks, but I thought there might be several people out there that haven't heard about Swagbucks yet. For those of you who are already signed up remember that on Fridays they award even more Swagbucks, so don't forget to search through their engine today. For those of you who haven't signed up yet, I'd really encourage you to do so!! You'll be able to earn points that you can cash in for prizes. Last year was my first year to do Swagbucks, and throughout the year I earned more than $200.00 in Amazon gift cards. I used the gift cards to help with Christmas shopping. I'm excited about seeing how many I can earn this year. With very little effort, anyone should be able to earn enough points for one $5.00 Amazon gift card per month...doesn't sound like much, but over the year that's $60.00 that could be used for Christmas presents...you could easily knock several gifts off your Christmas list for FREE!!
So for those of you who are already a part of Swagbucks start searching!! Let me know if you win any big amounts today!! And for those of you who have not joined Swagbucks yet, it is completely free and so easy!! Just sign up for Swagbucks (it's a search engine...like google, yahoo, ask.com, etc). You have a chance to win Swagbucks for every search you do. You don't have to go search for specific things. The easiest way to use it, is to load the Swagbucks toolbar on your homepage. Instead of typing in a web address that you want to go to, just type it into the Swagbucks search box...you'll still go right where you would be going anyway...but you will be given chances to win Swagbucks!!
If you are interested in signing up, just go here or click on the banner below to get started. Like I said it is completely FREE and you'll receive 30 Swagbucks just for signing up!!
I know this might sound confusing, so if you have any questions about Swagbucks or how to get started leave a comment below and I'll do my best to answer them!
Note...it's the beginning of April and I've already earned $40.00 in Amazon gift cards for this year. I am saving them throughout the year to help with buying Christmas gifts this year. You could be doing it too. There are so many other prizes/gift cards you can earn too...Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Target, Lowe's, etc. It's a simple and easy way to earn FREE stuff!!

Coupon--Velveeta
Walmart.com has a new coupon for $1.00 off one package of Velveeta Spicy Buffalo Loaf.
This is a new product, and it seems like our Wal-Mart in San Angelo gets new products a little slower than other cities.
If you are interested in this coupon, I'd print it now and hold onto it until you find it at the store.
Note...a recipe prints out after the coupon. If you aren't interested in the recipe and want to save printer ink, then go ahead and cancel it after the coupon is printed.
Coupon--Comet Powder
There's a new coupon for $0.25 off Comet Powder that can be found here. To find this coupon, I entered zip code 76904 and clicked on the Household Category.
Comet is usually a pretty inexpensive product. I'm not sure what these are priced at Albertsons, but when this coupon triples it should make for a pretty good deal. I know that I have seen these go on sale for $0.50 at Walgreens before.
I'm going to be printing this coupon and holding onto it until I can find a good sale.
Thanks Hip 2 Save!
Albertsons--Cereal and Milk!
If you have been reading my blog for any length of time, you know that I won't spend more than $1.00 for a box of cereal. (Well, unless it's a special treat for my hubby...there don't seem to be a lot of good sales on his favorite cereal. :)
With that in mind, I think that Albertsons has a pretty great deal on cereal right now.
Select Kellogg's Cereal is priced at $2.00 a box. When you buy 3 boxes in the same transaction you will receive a Catalina coupon for a FREE gallon of milk on your next order.
3 Kellogg's Cereal $6.00
-use coupon for $1.00 off 2 Kellogg's Cereal (found in 3/27 RedPlum insert)
Final Price: $5.00
Yes, I realize 3 boxes of cereal for $5.00 is not a deal I would normally encourage, BUT when you include the FREE gallon of milk it really is a GREAT deal!!
A gallon of milk is priced around $3.00 right now...so $5.00 for 3 boxes of cereal AND a gallon of milk is worth mentioning!
Note...I did this deal at Albertsons this afternoon and the expiration date on the catalina coupon for FREE milk is for 2 weeks from today. Also, I was told that if you want to do more than one of these deals then you will need to break up your order into separate transactions. If you try to buy 6 boxes of cereal in one transaction, only 1 catalina coupon will print. I did not test that out, but that is what the cashier told me I should do.
The current circular is only good through today.

Coupon for Eggland's Best
I was just looking through the coupons at www.coupons.com, and I came across a coupon that some of you might be interested in.
There's a coupon for $0.35 off Eggland's Best Eggs. This coupon will triple at Albertsons, making it worth $1.05.
I'm not sure what these are priced at, but the coupon states that it is good on any size...I'm sure you could get a pretty good deal if Albertsons sells the half dozen carton of eggs.
Note...I found this using zip code 76904 and clicking on the Food Category.
Stretching a Dollar at the Drug Stores
I wasn't planning on doing any deals at CVS or Walgreens this week, but when I was out running errands I noticed that I had Extra Care Bucks and Register Rewards that were expiring today. Instead of letting them go to waste, I decided to make a quick trip to both stores and see what I could pick up. I hadn't had a chance to look through any of the ads and I didn't have very many coupons with me. I think I still did a pretty good job rolling my rewards.
First Stop was Walgreens:
I bought everything pictured below and spent:
$0.97.
Colgate Toothpaste $2.99 (Receive a $3.00 Register Reward)
-I didn't have any coupons for this with me, but there is a coupon for $0.35 off Colgate in the 4/3 SmartSource insert.
Tampax Pearl $6.99 (Receive a $2.00 Register Reward)
-I used a coupon for $1.00 off Tampax Pearl. There is a coupon for $2.00 off Tampax Pearl that can be found in the 4/3 Proctor and Gamble insert that would make this an even better deal.
Gillette Fusion Razor $9.99 (Receive a $4.00 Register Reward)
-I used a coupon for $5.00 off Gillette Fusion that I had from a Proctor and Gamble coupon booklet that was mailed to me.
I also purchased 3 bags of M&Ms for $0.33 each that I used as filler items.
I paid with $14.00 in Register Rewards and received $9.00 in Register Rewards.
Second Stop was CVS:
I bought everything pictured below and spent:
$0.96
2 Right Guard Body Washes $3.88 each (Received $3.00 Extra Care Buck)
-I used coupon for Buy one Right Guard product get one FREE (found in 3/13 RedPlum insert)
2 GUM Flossers $2.00 each (Received $2.00 Extra Care Buck for each one I purchased)
8 Snickers Easter Eggs $0.50 each
-I used 4 coupons for $1.00 off 2 Select Mars Easter Candy (found in 3/20 RedPlum insert) (Yes, I realize there are only 7 pictured. I just MAY have eaten one as a snack. :)
I paid with $6.99 in Extra Care Bucks, and received $7.00 in Extra Care Bucks.
There are a lot of other GREAT deals at CVS this week, but I was happy with the deals I did. I was shopping with a tired 4 year old and with a limited supply of coupons. My main goal was to pick up items that we use in our family and to roll my rewards.
Whoever says a dollar can't buy you anything any more clearly does not use coupons and does not shop at drug stores. :)
