Mega Swagbucks Friday
Just wanted to remind you that it's Friday, and that means that for those of you who have signed up for Swagbucks that you'll have additional chances to win HIGH VALUE Swagbucks during your searches!! Go ahead and search for the sites you normally go to, and earn bucks to trade in for prizes while you are at it!! Remember it only takes 450 Swagbucks to trade in for a $5.00 Amazon gift card. I've been saving my Amazon gift cards, and I was just searching around Amazon a couple of days ago, and found out that you can actually order gift cards from different stores (Target, Kohls, AMC Movies, Subway, etc.) Once you earn enough Swagbucks you can trade in for different gifts or gift cards...I've been trading in for Amazon gift cards and will be using them to help our Christmas budget!!
So for those of you who are already a part of Swagbucks start searching!! Let me know if you win any big amounts today!! And for those of you who have not joined Swagbucks yet, it is completely free and so easy!! Just sign up for Swagbucks (it's a search engine...like google, yahoo, ask.com, etc). You have a chance to win Swagbucks for every search you do. You don't have to go search for specific things. The easiest way to use it, is to load the Swagbucks toolbar on your homepage. Instead of typing in a web address that you want to go to, just type it into the Swagbucks search box...you'll still go right where you would be going anyway...but you will be given chances to win Swagbucks!!
If you are interested in signing up, just click on the banner below to get started. Like I said it is completely FREE and you'll receive 30 Swagbucks just for signing up!!
I know this might sound confusing, so if you have any questions about Swagbucks or how to get started leave a comment below and I'll do my best to answer them!
Coupon for Kraft Homestyle Mac and Cheese
There's a coupon available for $1.00 off Kraft Homestyle Mac and Cheese that can be found here. The last time I was at Wal-Mart these were priced right around $2.00. Since this is a "bricks" coupon you should be able to print this coupon out twice per computer.
I've never tried this product, but it looks pretty good. The great thing about using coupons is that when a new product hits the stores you can usually count on a GREAT coupon to go along with it. Companies want you to try their new products, so they release high value coupons...I think they want us to get hooked on their products! :)
Have any of you tried this yet?
Thanks Hip 2 Save!

Albertsons--Hamburger Helper Catalina
It seems like it is the day for Catalinas!!
I went to Albertsons today to try to stock up on some pantry staples...Hamburger Helper, Progresso Soup, Libby's Veggies.
I bought several boxes of Hamburger Helper and at the checkout a Catalina Coupon printed out. On the Catalina coupon it lists what you need to buy in order receive your Catalina coupon.
Buy 3 Hamburger, Chicken, or Tuna Helper--receive catalina coupon for $1.50 off your next Hamburger, Chicken, or Tuna purchase (off the meat, not additional Hamburger Helper)
Buy 4 and get a $2.00 Catalina
Buy 5 or more and get a $3.00 Catalina
Meat is definitely one item that is hard to find really GREAT deals on, so this is something you might want to consider doing.
BUY:
6 Hamburger Helper ($1.00 each)
-use 2 coupons for $0.75 off 3 (found here)
Final Price: $4.50 AND receive a $3.00 Catalina on your next purchase of select meat
(If you have the coupons for $1.00 off 2 Hamburger Helper meals...found on tearpads several weeks ago...then this deal is even better!)
Chicken is on sale for $1.88/lb through Saturday, so you could get a pretty good deal using the cat. coupon.
I'm pretty sure that you should be able to use it along with the in ad coupon for Buy one Chicken Breast (pre-seasoned) get TWO FREE...another GREAT deal.
And of course, if you can use this coupon for canned/pouch tuna then you should be able to get tuna for FREE!!

HEB--Ziploc Catalina
When I was trying to figure out the $5.00 Catalina at HEB I think I stumbled across another Catalina deal...Side Note, why does our local HEB never advertise their Catalina Deals? Is it just our HEB or are they like this all over Texas? Makes me more than a little frustrated!!
When I bought the Ziploc Containers a Catalina for $1.50 off any HEB Brand product printed. On the bottom of this Catalina it says "Thank You from Ziploc Brand Containers."
I believe that for every TWO Ziploc Brand Containers that you purchase a $1.50 Catalina will print out.
These catalinas will be GREAT to help stock up on items that it's hard to find coupons for and should help you get some FREE items:
Bread/Tortillas
Eggs
Mac and Cheese
Pasta
(You should be able to get these for FREE after Catalina)
It would also be a GREAT idea to use these coupons to stock up on meat or milk!
HEB is currently running a couple of Combo Locos that should get you a GREAT deal when using the $1.50 Catalina coupon:
BUY:
HEB Meatballs
GET FREE:
Ragu Pasta Sauce (LARGE JAR)
I believe the HEB Meatballs are priced around $3.00, so after the $1.50 coupon you'd get both items for around $1.50!!
BUY:
HEB Fully Cooked Burgers
AND
HEB Hot Dogs
GET FREE:
HEB Dip
HEB Potato Chips
Hill Country Fare Mustard
HEB Bake Shop Hamburger Buns
HEB Bake Shop Hot Dog Buns
HEB Soft Drink (2 liter)
ChefStyle Chip Clips
I'm not sure what these are priced at, but if you use TWO of the $1.50 Catalina coupons, you should get a pretty good deal for everything!
Look around the store and see what AWESOME deals you can find.

HEB Trip (Box Top Catalina?)
I went to HEB to see if I could figure out what triggered the $5.00 Catalina. I bought everything pictured below and spent...

Here's how I did it, and how you can too:

Final Price: $0.94 (for a GALLON OF MILK!!)
All in all, this was a GREAT trip to HEB!! The Fruit Gushers, Juicy Juice, Ziploc, and Chex Mix all had Box Tops on them that is why I think that Box Tops products are triggering the $5.00 Catalina...buy 10 items with Box Tops and receive a $5.00 Catalina.

HEB--Catalina Deal
I went into HEB today to see if I could find any good deals. The last few weeks I haven't seen anything in the ads that I've really wanted to buy. This morning we used our last loaf of bread, and I opened our last box of juice pouches that I pack in my older boys' school lunches. I decided that it might be worth it to head to HEB to take advantage of their bread deal and buy Fruit Gushers get Juicy Juice for FREE. When I checked out I was pleasantly surprised with a catalina.
I bought 5 Betty Crocker Fruit Gushers $2.00 each
AND 5 Juicy Juice (8 pack) $1.96 each
-used coupon for $0.50 off 2 (found here)
-used coupon for $1.00 off 3 (found here)
-used 5 coupons for FREE Juicy Juice wyb Fruit Gushers (found at HEB)
Final Price: $8.50 (I thought this was a decent price for the 10 items I purchased...$0.85 each)
This deal gets even better though...a $5.00 catalina coupon printed out after I did this deal...good on my next purchase. A catalina for 70 Box Tops also printed out. I asked the cashier about it, and she said she had no idea what items were included in this sale.
Tonight I asked my hubby to watch the kids so I could run to HEB to see if I could find more information abou the catalina. No one that I talked to seemed to have any idea what triggered the catalina, so I decided to see if I could figure it out myself. Since the Catalina for 70 Box Tops printed along with the $5.00 Catalina I thought that might have something to do with it.
Based on the different deal scenarios that I tried at the store, this is what I think triggers the $5.00 Catalina:
Buy 10 items that have Box Tops on them, and a $5.00 Catalina will print. Keep in mind that this is based on deals I did...no cashier could verify this, but it seemed to work that way for me! Oh, and best of all...the $5.00 Catalina will roll from deal to deal!!
Let me know if you find any GREAT deals!!

HEB--Great Deal on Libby's Canned Fruit
HEB has a GREAT deal on Libby's Canned Fruit this week.
Select Libby's Fruit is on sale for $1.00. (I found sliced peaches, apricots, and fruit cocktail at this price.
-use coupon for $1.00 off 2 Libby's Fruit (found in 8/29 RedPlum insert)
-AND use Yellow in store coupon for "Buy 2 Libby's Fruit and get the third one FREE" (These were taped right to the aisle beside the canned fruit.)
Final Price: $1.00 for all THREE cans (or around $0.33 each)
In my opinion this is a GREAT price to stock up on canned fruit. I prefer fresh fruit to canned, but I always like having several cans in the pantry. The cans that I saw at HEB don't expire until the end of 2012, so if you have the coupons and the extra money in your budget this week then I'd definitely stock up!!

Target Trip (September 20)
I went to Target this morning for the sole purpose of seeing if they had any school supplies still on clearance. I was able to find several good deals while I was there. I bought everything pictured below, and spent...
$6.04, and saved $47.16!
4 Glade Sense and Spray Starter Kits (price cut to $5.04 each)
-used Target coupon for $3.00 off (found in 9/12 SmartSource insert)
-used man. coupon for $3.00 off (found in 8/22 SmartSource insert)
Final Price: All 4 for FREE (plus $3.84 in overage)
NOTE...Target has recently changed their computer system, so now most coupons automatically adjust down to the purchase price of an item...no overage...so I was very surprised when these coupons did not adjust down. If you decide to do this deal, I would not go in expecting overage. I'm not sure why these did not adjust down for me.
12 Band-Aids (travel size) ($0.97 each)
-used 4 coupons for $3.00 off three select Band-Aid products (found in 8/1 SmartSource insert)
Final Price: All 12 for FREE
6 Johnson and Johnson First Aid to Go Kits ($0.97 each)
-used 2 coupons for $3.00 off three select Band-Aid, Johnson's First Aid products (found in 8/1 SmartSource insert)
Final Price: All 6 for FREE
12 Mead Five Star Folders (clearance price $0.24 each)
-used 6 coupons for $1.00 off two Five Star products (found in 8/8 RedPlum insert)
Final Price: All 12 for FREE (plus overage)
NOTE...These coupons only took $0.24 off, so I mentioned to the cashier that she should adjust them to $0.48 each (price of 2 folders), she adjusted all of the coupons to $0.48 except for 3 of them which for some reason automatically took $1.00 off...Again, I have no idea why the register did this.
10 Market Pantry Applesauce Cups (6 pack) (clearance price $1.27 each)
Final Price: $12.70
Final Price for Trip: $6.04
I was excited about finding the apple sauce on clearance...there was a whole endcap FULL of applesauce. I have a hard time finding good deals on these, and I usually end up buying them at Sam's...it's around $8 or $9 for 36 cups there. I was able to purchase 60 apple sauce cups and everything else for less than what I would normally spend on 36 cups!

Wal-Mart--Smucker's Jelly for $0.58
If you printed out the coupon for $1.50 off any one Smucker's Jelly, Jam, or Preserves then you'll be able to get a GREAT deal on jelly! (This coupon is no longer available, so I hope you printed it when I first posted about it!)
Smucker's Jelly is Priced at $2.08 at Wal-Mart, so you'll only have to pay $0.58 after coupon! In my opinion, this is a GREAT deal on jelly.

Albertsons Trip (September 20)
I ran to Albertsons to see if I could find any good deals. With all the Buy one Get one FREE sales I was expecting to come home with a pretty good haul. I wanted to stock up on FREE Gain Dish Soap, FREE Nestle Nesquik Chocolate milk, and inexpensive Corndogs, but Albertsons was completely sold out of all of them...something makes me think that there might be some other coupon shoppers in San Angelo. :) I ended up getting a raincheck for the Gain, and improvising my shopping trip. I bought everything pictured below, and spent...
$3.98, and I saved $23.04!
8 Starburst Gummies $0.79 each (BOGO)
-used 4 coupons for Buy one Get one FREE (found here)
Final Price: All 8 for FREE (only 7 made it to the picture :)
4 Danimals Crush Cups $2.49 each (BOGO)
-used 4 coupons for $1.00 off (found in 9/12 SmartSource insert)
Final Price: $0.98 for 4 (or $0.24 each)
(I was planning on buying a few more of these, but there were only 8 left at the store and I didn't want to clear the shelves for other shoppers.)
3 Barilla Piccolini Penne Pasta $1.25 each
-used 3 coupons for $0.75 off (found in 8/29 SmartSource insert)
Final Price: $1.50 for 3 (or $0.50 each)
3 Barilla Whole Grain Pasta $1.25 each
-used 3 coupons for $0.75 off (found in 8/29 SmartSource insert)
Final Price: $1.50 for 3 (or $0.50 each)
Final Price for Shopping Trip: $3.98..I was able to buy everything and spend less than what it would have cost to buy 2 of the Danimals Crush Cups before sales/coupons. It really does pay when you combine sales with coupons!
I didn't buy a whole lot at Albertsons today, but other than milk, bread, and fresh fruits/veggies we don't need a whole lot of groceries right now so I focused on buying items that were the best deals!

(I did not find these by the other candy at the checkout, but over in the candy aisle by the produce.)

Final Price: 2 for FREE
You should be able to print this coupon out twice per computer, so you'll be able to get 4 packages FREE!!
Tomorrow should be the last day that Starburst Gummies are on sale Buy one Get one FREE, so if you are interested in FREE candy, then you'll need to head over to Albertsons soon!
Target--School Supplies
I ran to Target this morning to see if I could find any deals. It seems like Halloween costumes, decorations, and candy have taken over the area where the school supplies used to be. If you didn't have a chance to pick up school supplies that were on clearance, you still have a little time to get some GREAT deals. I walked through Target and found that they had moved the clearanced school supplies over to endcaps where the cards/party supplies and office supplies are. There isn't a huge selection left, but they still had a large supply of loose leaf paper, notebooks, binders, scissors, rulers, and more. If you are interested in getting some deals on school supplies then I'd definitely head over to Target in the next couple of days because there is no telling how long they will last!
Walgreens--Trident Gum--Money Maker!!
We go through gum like crazy at our house, so I am all about finding it cheap...free is better, but making money buying it is the best!!
This week at Walgreens there is an in ad coupon to make Trident gum $0.79 a pack (regularly $1.29 a pack), but with the right coupons you can get an even better deal!!
At Walgreens the order you hand your coupons to the cashier is EXTREMELY important, so if you are interested in this deal, you'll need to hand your coupons to the cashier in the order I list below.
Buy 4 packages of Trident Gum: $1.29 each
-use 2 manufacturer's coupons for $1.00 off two (found here) (HAND THESE TO THE CASHIER FIRST!!)
-use Walgreens coupon for $1.00 off two packs of Trident gum (found in the Walgreens September coupon book)(This is found at the front of the store next to the weekly ads. You'll only need to hand the cashier ONE of these coupons, and it will deduct $2.00 for your four packs of gum.)
-use Walgreens coupon to make each pack of gum $0.79 (found in weekly ad) (You'll only need to hand the cashier ONE of these coupons, and it will automatically adjust the price of each pack of gum) (HAND THIS TO THE CASHIER LAST!!)
Final Price: FREE (plus $0.84 overage)
You'll need to make sure that you have an extra item to cover the overage that you receive. I would suggest picking up one of the Crest toothpastes that generate a $1.00 Register Reward this week.
Crest toothpaste: $1.99
-use coupon for $1.00 off Crest (found in 8/29 Proctor and Gamble insert)
Final Price: $0.99...but with the $0.84 in overage from the gum, you'll only pay $0.15 (plus tax) for EVERYTHING and receive a $1.00 Register Reward.

Glade Sense and Spray Starter Kits are price cut to $5.04 at Target. At the Target in San Angelo only the Clear Springs and Clean Linen scents were price cut...the other fragrances were still priced at $7.99. If you have the right coupons you should be able to get these for FREE!!

New Coupon to Look for at CVS
I ran into CVS today to take advantage of some of the new weekly deals. When I walked into the store I scanned my Extra Care Card under the price scan machine to see what coupons would print out for me. I received several different coupons, but there's one coupon that I wanted to make sure to mention to you.
$2.00 off 2 Xtra Laundry Detergents
-Xtra Laundry Detergent is priced at 2 for $4.00 this week, so only $1.00 for each bottle after coupon.
At CVS you never know what coupons will print out for you from the price scan machine, but this is definitely one to watch for.
If your family does not use this type of Laundry Detergent and you have extra money in your budget this would be a great item to buy and donate!
