Oscar Mayer Carving Board Meat
I posted about the high value coupon for $2.00 off Oscar Mayer Carving Board Meat yesterday. I ran to Target today to see if our Target carried it...unfortunately not.
I did find it at Wal-Mart and at HEB priced right around $3.49, so only $1.49 after coupon.
I'm not a huge sandwich/lunchmeat eater, but this meat looked really good. I might have to try it.
If you've tried it, let me know how you liked it.
HEB--Meals for Under $5.00
I have had a lot of people tell me that they have a really hard time coming up with meals to make for their families that are inexpensive. I wanted to point out just a couple of deals that I found while going through HEB today. These are deals that should get you supper on the table for right around $5.00.
HEB:
Buy 2 lbs. of Ground Beef Get Ingredients for Tacos FREE
Ground Sirloin is priced at $3.18/lb. at HEB right now. You'll need to buy 2 lbs. to be able to get the items free ($6.36)
If you have a smaller family, or kids who are younger, you will probably be able to get by with only using one lb. of ground beef.
Final Price: $3.18 for Tacos for your family
(You could also pick up a can of Refried Beans (under $1.00), bag of salad (quick sale for $0.99)
HEB:
Buy HEB Fancy Shredded Cheese Get FREE Barilla Whole Grain Pasta and Barilla Pasta Sauce.
HEB Fancy Shredded Cheese is priced around $1.96. You'll get the pasta and sauce for free. You could also use the second pound of ground beef that you bought for the taco meal deal ($3.18).
Final Price: $5.14 for Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. Add a vegetable that you probably have in your pantry/freezer.
If you are just starting out, you can get the ingredients for these meals at HEB using only the yellow, in store coupons. If you have a small family you might have enough leftovers to get one or two more meals out of this. I miss the days of leftovers...if we want any leftovers at our house it seems like I have to double recipes. What can I say, I'm feeding growing boys! :)
There are so many ways to eat on a budget without having to sacrifice too much. To save the most you'll need to shop for what is on sale each week and plan your meals accordingly!

HEB Trip (January 28)
I have to say that I don't do a ton of shopping at HEB. In my opinion it is hard to see a really big savings there. Yes, they have yellow in store coupons and Buy X get Y free, but it seems like when I shop there I still spend more than I want to.
That being said, I was excited about the Meal Deal that they are having this week. (Buy 2 lbs. of ground beef get five ingredients for making tacos FREE). I was down to my last 2 lbs. of ground beef, so I decided to run into HEB.
I bought everything pictured below, and spent...
$54.62 and saved $61.30...Yes, I know I went over my grocery budget. I didn't do a lot of shopping at the beginning of the month, so I had extra left over from those weeks. Also, I really needed to stock up on some quick fix meals to have on hand in our freezer.

I know it is a bit high, but I really wanted to get some meals that I can whip up in just a few minutes before/after church and also for those nights when I don't feel like cooking. I should be able to get at least 15 meals out of the Anytizers/ Ground Sirloin/pizzas...adding a few side dishes/vegetables that I already have in our pantry/freezer...less than $4.00 a meal for a family of 5...or we could spend the same amount of money taking our family out to eat 2 (maybe 3) times. I'll go over our grocery budget a little bit this week to save a lot of money later!
Have you been stocking up on any items lately?

FREE Candle from Bath and Body Works
Bath and Body Works is offering a FREE 1.6 oz candle this weekend ($3.50 value). This offer is good from January 28-30. I LOVE getting the freebies from Bath and Body Works. I love lotions and candles, but it is really hard for me to spend money on them since we can get them for pennies on the dollar at drugstores. I will definitely be running by the mall today to pick up a FREE candle.

Mega Swagbucks Friday!
It has been quite a while since I've posted anything about Swagbucks, but I thought that since it is the beginning of a new year that now would be a PERFECT time to remind you. For those of you who are already signed up remember that on Fridays they award even more Swagbucks, so don't forget to search through their engine today. For those of you who haven't signed up yet, I'd really encourage you to do so!! You'll be able to earn points that you can cash in for prizes. Last year was my first year to do Swagbucks, and throughout the year I earned more than $200.00 in Amazon gift cards. I used the gift cards to help with Christmas shopping. I'm excited about seeing how many I can earn this year. With very little effort, anyone should be able to earn enough points for one $5.00 Amazon gift card per month...doesn't sound like much, but over the year that's $60.00 that could be used for Christmas presents...you could easily knock several gifts off your Christmas list for FREE!!
So for those of you who are already a part of Swagbucks start searching!! Let me know if you win any big amounts today!! And for those of you who have not joined Swagbucks yet, it is completely free and so easy!! Just sign up for Swagbucks (it's a search engine...like google, yahoo, ask.com, etc). You have a chance to win Swagbucks for every search you do. You don't have to go search for specific things. The easiest way to use it, is to load the Swagbucks toolbar on your homepage. Instead of typing in a web address that you want to go to, just type it into the Swagbucks search box...you'll still go right where you would be going anyway...but you will be given chances to win Swagbucks!!
If you are interested in signing up, just go here or click on the banner below to get started. Like I said it is completely FREE and you'll receive 30 Swagbucks just for signing up!!
I know this might sound confusing, so if you have any questions about Swagbucks or how to get started leave a comment below and I'll do my best to answer them!
Note...it's the end of January and I've already earned a $5.00 Amazon gift card...what are you waiting for?
Nature Valley Granola Bars--$1.00 at Albertsons!
Nature Valley Granola Bars are priced at $2.00 at Albertsons this week.
-use coupon for $0.50 off Nature Valley Granola Bars (found here) (will double)
Final Price: $1.00
Albertsons--GREAT Deal on Peanut Butter
Albertsons has Peter Pan Peanut Butter on sale for $1.59 this week.
-use coupon for $0.50 off 1 Peter Pan Peanut Butter (found in 1/2 SmartSource insert) (will double)
Final Price: $0.59 for Peanut Butter
In my opinion this is a GREAT deal!! If you are wanting to stock up and have multiple coupons, please remember that Albertsons will only double/triple 4 of each like coupon in a transaction. If you have more than 4 coupons, you'll need to split your order up so you'll take full advantage of each coupon.
I didn't receive these coupons, otherwise I'd be stocking up this week. :(
Wendy's--FREE Fries
Go here to print off a coupon for FREE Natural Cut Fries with Sea Salt at Wendy's! You should be able to print this coupon off twice per computer.
The coupon states that it is good on value sized fries at participating Wendy's. One coupon per customer per visit. (Not sure which Wendy's are participating, but it never hurts to take the coupon and ask at the store!)
Thanks Saving Addiction!
Hamburger Helper Coupon
There's a new coupon available for Hamburger Helper:
Save $0.50 wyb any flavor Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper or Chicken Helper (go here to print)
Albertsons puts these on sale for $1.00 quite regularly, so once the coupon is doubled we should get some FREE Hamburger Helper. Note...when I was at Albertsons yesterday they were NOT on sale. I think they were priced at over $2.00, so not a good time to use this coupon at Albertsons yet.
For those of you who don't have an Albertsons, Wal-Mart and HEB have these priced around $1.50.
Please keep in mind that even if your family doesn't use this product, if you can get it for free (or close to it) it would be a great item to pick up and donate to someone.
Thanks Money Saving Mom

I have gone into CVS over the past couple of weeks trying to get my hands on some Wisk Detergent. I have a raincheck from when they were on sale several weeks ago. CVS Coupons
I ran to CVS today and was very happy with the CVS coupons that printed off for me when I scanned my card. I know that not everyone gets the same coupons, but I wanted to point out a couple of the GREAT ones that I got so you guys can be on the look out for the same thing.
CVS coupon for $1.00 off any CVS brand diaper wipe
-There are travel size CVS diaper wipes priced at $0.99, so FREE after coupon!!
Luckily I no longer have kids in diapers, but I don't think I'll ever stop buying diaper wipes to keep in my purse/car. I don't care how old your kids get, they still get grubby sticky hands/faces and diaper wipes are perfect for quick clean ups.
CVS coupon for $5.00 off any 2 Revlon Cosmetics
-There were a lot of Revlon cosmetics on sale for 75% off...just need to keep your eyes peeled for the 75% off stickers. There were many items that you could get for FREE, or close to it.
I bought two Revlon Cream to Powder Eye Shadow...regularly priced over $8.00 each, marked down to $2.07.
With coupon they were FREE, plus the coupon took off the whole $5.00, so I was able to get a little bit of overage as well! :)
Let me know if you get any GREAT coupons the next time you go into CVS.
Albertsons--Yoplait Deal
Albertsons has a GREAT deal on Yoplait items this week. When you purchase $10.00 of Participating Yoplait Products you'll receive a $3.00 in store rebate. (I'm not sure if this will be $3.00 taken off directly at the register or it might be in the form of a $3.00 Catalina Coupon. I haven't done the deal yet, but either way it makes for a GREAT deal).
There are several coupons available to work with this deal:
$0.40 off 6 Yoplait Cups (found in 1/2 General Mills Insert) (will double)
$0.50 off 8 Yoplait Cups (found in 1/2 General Mills Insert) (will double)
$0.75 off 2 Yoplait Go-Gurt or Trix Multipack (found in 1/2 General Mills Insert)
$0.50 off Yoplait Splitz Yogurt (found in 1/2 General Mills insert) (will double)
$0.50 off Yoplait Delights Yogurt Multipack (found in 1/2 General Mills insert) (will double)
You should be able to find several different scenarios that will work best for your family.
If you only have 1 coupon insert you could do the following scenario:
Buy 1 Yoplait Spitz (on sale for $2.00)
Buy 1 Yoplait Delights (on sale for $2.50)
Buy 14 Yoplait Cups (on sale for $0.50)
Total: $11.50
-minus $0.50 off Spitz (double to $1.00)
-minus $0.50 off Yoplait Delights (double to $1.00)
-minus $0.50 off 8 Yoplait Cups (double to $1.00)
-minus $0.40 off 6 Yoplait Cups (double to $0.80
Total $7.70 (minus $3.00 in store rebate. I'm guessing that the $3.00 will automatically be deducted...if that's the case, then you'll pay $4.70 for all the items)
Target--$0.50 off Cafe Purchase
I was looking through the different Target coupons, and came across a coupon that I wanted to point out.
My youngest son is not in school yet, so he gets to go with me on all of my crazy shopping adventures. If I have a big trip planned to Target, or just want to browse and see what sort of deals there are, I'll buy him some popcorn or an icee.
There's a coupon available here for $0.50 off any Target cafe purchase. (Click on Food Service Category to find it quickly)

Coupon for A1 Sauce
I have to admit that I am super excited about this coupon. I seriously LOVE A1 Sauce, but I very rarely buy it because it is usually kind of pricey and I never seem to have a coupon for it.
Go here to print a coupon for $1.00 of A1 Sauce!
There is also a Target coupon available for $1.00 off 2 Kraft Items (found here)(The coupon has a picture of Kraft Mayo on it, but when you print it out there is a list of products the coupon can be used on...including A1 Sauce)
If you stack the coupons, you'll get $1.50 off each bottle of A1 Sauce!!
Thanks Totally Target!
Coupon for Angel Soft Toilet Paper
There's a new coupon available at coupons.com for
$1.00 off one 12 double roll or larger package of Angel Soft.
Toilet paper can definitely be hard to find a good deal on. This is a pretty high value coupon, so I'd print while you can. (I found this quickly by using zip code 20202 and clicking on the Household Category).
I'm guessing that Wal-Mart will probably be the cheapest place to find this.
Lowe's--Milk for $1.99
For those of you who live in San Angelo, I just wanted to mention that Lowe's has milk priced at $1.99 a gallon this week. The sale price is good through Tuesday, February 1st.
I never shop at Lowe's, but will regularly take their ad into Wal-Mart to price match. Wal-Mart will price match their store brand for Lowe's store brand.
I will DEFINITELY be taking advantage of this deal. It seems like milk is getting more and more expensive.
Remember that if you want to price match, you'll need to take the ad into Wal-Mart and tell your cashier that you want to price match BEFORE he/she begins scanning your purchases.
Oh, and I didn't receive a full Lowe's ad in the mail yesterday, just a one page ad in the San Angelo Extra that comes every Wednesday.
Other deals that you might want to price match:
10 lb. bag of Potatoes $1.88
5 lb. bag of Red Delicious Apples $2.98
8 lb. bag of Oranges $2.98

FREE Olay Soap!
I haven't posted over the past couple of days because one of my sons caught the stomach bug. He seems to be doing better, and I am praying that no one else in the family catches it.
I did receive an email from Melissa letting me know about a GREAT deal she found at Albertsons. (Please keep in mind that I have not verified this deal, but still wanted to point it out.)
She found Olay Bar Soap (2 pack)on sale for $2.00
-use coupon for $2.00 off Olay soap (found in 12/26 Proctor and Gamble insert)
Final Cost: FREE
Yea for FREE soap. I'm not sure how long this sale will last, but it is definitely something to keep your eye out for if you go to Albertsons.
Oh, and one note about the P&G coupons. There is fine print on the coupons that say you may only use 4 like coupons per transaction, so if you buy more than 4 of these you'll need to split your order into different transactions.
Thanks so much Melissa!

Target--$4.00 off any Rimmel Product
Target has a new coupon available for $2.00 off Rimmel Cosmetics (found here)(Click on Beauty to find it quickly)
You can combine this Target coupon with a $2.00 manufacturer's coupon (found here).
Using both coupons you'll get $4.00 off of one product.
We should easily be able to get some inexpensive (possibly even free) cosmetics for this price.
Several months ago there was a coupon available for $2.00 off Rimmel in an issue of All You magazine. I remember finding mascara that was priced below $3.00 then, so if prices haven't changed we should be able to at least get FREE mascara! Yea for FREE!!!
Thanks Totally Target!
