Coupon for Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers

Go here to print a coupon for $1.00 off Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers.

I don't know of any sales for this product right now, but it seems like this time of year a lot of stores have sales on low calorie foods. I'm sure it has to do with New Year's Resolutions. This is a high value coupon, so I'm sure it won't be available for long. I'm going to print it and hang onto it for awhile...hopefully a sale will pop up before it expires.

The Omega Factor 3 is regularly priced close to $25.00 for each bottle, so this is a great time to stock up on vitamins!!

Target--Christmas Clearance 90% Off

I ran to Target today to check out their Christmas clearance, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it 90% off! All of the clearance was VERY picked over, but I was still able to find a few good deals.

I went there really wanting to stock up on wrapping paper since I used the last of my stash this year, but there were just a few rolls left...and I didn't like any of them. I might have to make a trip to Wal-Mart to see if they have any left...or maybe I'll be shopping at Dollar Tree for my wrapping paper at Christmas. :)

3 bowls (I think these can be used all year long) $0.40 each
2 Christmas tins $0.40 each
3 Christmas tags $0.10 each
2 Curly Ribbons $0.20 each
1 Scotch Tape $0.20 each
8 Snowflake Cups $0.19 each

Total Spent: $4.78
Total Saved: $40.50

I was happiest about finding the cups. They weren't with the Christmas clearance. I just happened to be looking at the kitchen items and noticed that the cups looked Christmasy. They were still marked at $1.99, but I decided to price check them, and I'm so glad I did!!
$0.19 per cup is a GREAT deal, and we will be using them all year long. (After being married for over 10 years, and with 3 boys our nice glasses are LONG gone...these will make a great addition to our mis-matched restaurant to go cups. :)

If you happen to go to Target to look for sale items, don't forget to think a little out of the box. Don't limit yourself to items right by the Christmas clearance...browse the store. You might find great deals on Christmas cups/dishes, flannel sheets, Christmas books/CDs. At this time of year the price scan machine should be near and dear to your heart. :)

Coupon for Malt-O-Meal Cereal

Go here to print a coupon for $0.75 off a bag of Malt-O-Meal Cereal.

Before I started using these coupons, this was our go to cereal. It was cheaper than the name brand cereal and tasted just as good.

I'm not sure what it is normally priced at now, but with the $0.75 coupon it should make for a decent deal.

Green Giant Coupon

There's a coupon available for $0.50 off any variety of Green Giant Frozen Vegetables that can be found here. (Scroll down the page and you should find it on the bottom right of your screen).

This coupon should make for a really good deal when combined with a sale.

And of course it will double up to $1.00 at Albertsons, so I'm expecting to get some super cheap veggies soon!!

I stocked up on Steamfresh vegetables when they were free several months ago. I am down to only a few packages, so I'm hoping for a GREAT sale soon!

HEB--Stock Up on Chicken!!

There's a GREAT deal on boneless, skinless chicken breast at HEB this week! It's definitely one of the lowest prices that I've seen in a LONG time, so I would suggest printing coupons and STOCKING UP!!

Pilgrim's Pride Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast $1.98/lb. (Sold in 2.5 lb. bags--$4.95 per bag)
-use coupon for $1.00 off Pilgrim's Pride (found here)
Final Cost: $3.95 for 2.5 lbs...or only $1.58/lb.

One of the keys to lowering your grocery budget is to stock up when you find items at their lowest prices, so I encourage you to stock up on chicken now...$1.58/lb. is a VERY great deal!!

Target--Inexpensive Chicken

There's a great Target coupon for $3.00 off any 2 Market Pantry Frozen Chicken Items found here. There are a couple of different deals that you can do with this coupon.

Market Pantry Chicken Nuggets and Chicken Patties are price cut to $4.00 (regularly $4.99)
Buy 2 and use $3.00 coupon.
Pay $5.00 for 2 (or $2.50 each)

(In my opinion this is a GREAT deal for chicken nuggets. The small boxes of nuggets are priced at $2.50, and you're getting a lot more in the bags!)

Market Pantry Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast are price cut to $5.84 a bag (I'm not 100% sure of the price...that's what happens when you're shopping with a 3 year old. :) Also, didn't take the time to look at the size...I'm guessing that the bag has 2 1/2 lbs. of chicken...just based on past experience.
Buy 2 and use $3.00 coupon
Pay $8.68 for 2 (or $4.34 each)
(If the bags are 2 1/2 lbs, that's right around $1.73/lb. A definite good deal!)

Keep in mind that you can mix and match different chicken products with this coupon. I love stocking up on food items that I know will save us money on those nights when I really just want to go through a drive through!

CVS Trip (January 4, 2011)

I went into CVS to try to take advantage of the Wisk Detergent deal, but they were completely out. (Side note...I had so much laundry detergent stocked up that I wasn't planning on needing to buy any more for months and months. Our washing machine died in November, and we had to purchase a new one. The one we bought needs HE detergent, so I am having to restock detergent. Right now I'm down to only one bottle. I will definitely be searching for deals on it over the next few weeks!) I made sure to get a raincheck on the Wisk detergent, and plan on using it when they restock the shelves.

I came up with another deal that I wasn't planning on doing, but that ended up working out wonderfully!

I did this deal at our local Target this afternoon and had no issues with coupons beeping or anything. A GREAT stock up price on cereal!!
My older boys went back to school today, so I was actually able to do a little coupon shopping...not a lot, but enough to get me excited! :) December was a really crazy month, so I didn't even focus on using coupons very much. (I have a stack of about 40 inserts that haven't even been looked at yet). My coupon binder is completely out of order...I need to go through and throw out all the expired coupons...clipping coupons and sorting out my binder could seriously take hours. It's bad, but once I see the savings I know for sure that it will be worth it!

I'm excited about getting back into shopping with coupons!! I ran to CVS, Walgreens, and Target today and had a GREAT time getting some deals. :) More on that later...
