Can you believe that tomorrow is the last day of July? This month has just flown by!! I wanted to remind you that at the end of the month, a lot of online coupon sites will replace or reset their coupons. That means that coupons that are available in July might not be available in August, or that coupons that are available now will be reset in August...which means that you'll be able to print up to two coupons through July, and reprint them two more times if they are reset in August. If there are some coupons that you are interested in printing, I'd spend a few minutes today or tomorrow printing them off.

Mega Swagbucks Friday!!

Search & Win

Just wanted to remind you that it's Friday, and that means that for those of you who have signed up for Swagbucks that you'll have additional chances to win HIGH VALUE Swagbucks during your searches!! Go ahead and search for the sites you normally go to, and earn bucks to trade in for prizes while you are at it!! Remember it only takes 450 Swagbucks to trade in for a $5.00 Amazon gift card. I've been saving my Amazon gift cards, and I was just searching around Amazon a couple of days ago, and found out that you can actually order gift cards from different stores (Target, Kohls, AMC Movies, Subway, etc.) Once you earn enought Swagbucks you can trade in for different gifts or gift cards...I've been trading in for Amazon gift cards and will be using them to help our Christmas budget!!

So for those of you who are already a part of Swagbucks start searching!! Let me know if you win any big amounts today!! And for those of you who have not joined Swagbucks yet, it is completely free and so easy!! Just sign up for Swagbucks (it's a search engine...like google, yahoo, ask.com, etc). You have a chance to win Swagbucks for every search you do. You don't have to go search for specific things. The easiest way to use it, is to load the Swagbucks toolbar on your homepage. Instead of typing in a web address that you want to go to, just type it into the Swagbucks search box...you'll still go right where you would be going anyway...but you will be given chances to win Swagbucks!! I joined at the end of December, and have won over $100 in Amazon gift cards...LOVE IT!!

If you are interested in signing up, just click on the banner below to get started. Like I said it is completely FREE and you'll receive 30 Swagbucks just for signing up!!

Search & Win
I decided to take my kids over to Wal-Mart to buy their school supplies this morning. I know, I know there are a lot of great deals on school supplies at other stores, but I just wanted to get it done in the quickest and easiest way. Yes, in some cases I'd rather not hunt for deals and the best possible prices. Their school supply lists had a LOT more items than last year, and I have to say that I was definitely not a savvy shopper today. I still have one or two more items from their lists that I need to buy. I'm guessing that once I buy everything it will cost about $50.00 per child. Does that sound ridiculous to you?

Oh, and we still need to buy their uniforms for school...another item that we won't be getting any good deals on. I'm hoping that they still have a little room in their uniform shirts from last year, and that we will only need to buy new pants/shorts right now. We'll see though.

How are you guys doing on back to school shopping? I felt so strange going through the line at Wal-Mart without a single coupon today. I guess I save in groceries and toiletries so that the sting of paying full price on other items isn't so bad...I'm not sure about that, because it still stings. :)

Sunday Coupon Preview

Just wanted to give you a heads up that there should be FOUR coupon inserts in this Sunday's newspaper...one SmartSource, two RedPlum, and one Proctor and Gamble. Keep in mind that not all newspapers will receive all inserts, and coupons and their values will vary based on where you live and what newspaper you buy. I've found that newspapers from larger cities tend to have more coupons with higher values.

If you are serious about saving money with coupons, I would encourage you to buy more than one newspaper. If you are just starting out, buy at least two newspapers...with two newspapers you'll have two sets of each coupon...that means that when stores run Buy one Get one FREE sales, you'll be able to use a coupon on each item and really SAVE BIG!!

To see a complete list of coupons that are expected to run in this Sunday's newspaper, go here.

Schick Rebate Check

Did any of you submit for the Schick Hydro Razor Rebate? I mentioned this about a month ago, so I hope you got in on this GREAT deal!! I got my razor TOTALLY free from CVS since I bought it with Extra Care Bucks, and I received an additional $5.00 Extra Care Buck for purchasing the razor. In today's mail, I received a rebate check for $8.97!! I LOVE getting rebate checks in the mail!! If you submitted for this rebate, you've probably already received your rebate or will be getting it in the next few days. What will you do with your check...put it back in your grocery budget, use it to pay down debt, put it in savings, or splurge on a little treat for yourself? $8.97 might not sound like a lot, but every little bit counts when you are working towards a goal!

What did you do with your AWESOME coupons for $2.00 off Pampers Wipes? If you used these coupons, you should have been able to get FREE wipes at Wal-Mart and Target!! My boys are all potty trained (thank goodness!), but I still used all of my coupons...I had a LOT of them! I've given several packages away, and am keeping a few packages for quick clean ups in the car. I'm planning on taking the majority of them to the Pregnancy Help Center to donate to others who will need them.

Once you get serious about coupon shopping, you'll be able to buy more, save more, and give more!! I cannot stress enough that the greatest reward from coupon shopping is being able to GIVE!! Don't miss out on blessing others and getting blessed yourself!!

Target Toy Clearance

I just got back from a quick trip to Target and wanted to let you know that they have a LARGE selection of toys on sale for 75% off. On the shelves and end caps it says that they are 30% off, but if you check the price tags, you'll see that almost all of them are actually marked 75% off the original price. It would be a GREAT time to stock up on birthday and Christmas presents for your kids! I had all three of my boys with me, so I wasn't able to look for presents for my kids. I did buy several toys to put back for Toys for Tots at Christmas. I bought 9 toys for less than the price that 2 of them would have normally cost. To me that really is the best part of coupon/sale shopping...being able to GIVE more and at the same time SAVE more!! They had several toys priced at under $1.00. The most expensive thing I bought today was the Nerf Gun...normally priced at $19.99, marked down to $4.98. If you plan ahead, you should be able to buy all of your Christmas/birthday presents for your kids at a fraction of the cost...AND have money left in your budget to GIVE to others!!

Pop-Tarts=FREE Movie Ticket

One more AWESOME thing about the Albertsons sale this week...Select boxes of Kellogg's Pop-Tarts have codes in them that you can redeem for prizes. It takes 5 codes to trade in for a FREE movie ticket. These FREE movie tickets are accepted at our local theater!! You'll need to buy 5 DIFFERENT flavors of Pop-Tarts (look for the boxes with a circle on the front that has a number on it...it should say something like flavor 6 of 27). You'll then be able to enter the codes online and print off a FREE movie ticket!! So not only did I only spend $47.00 on 100 items...I also bought enough Pop-Tarts to get us at least 2 or 3 movie tickets. Three adult movie tickets are close to $30.00...so an AWESOME deal!!

Albertsons Trip (July 28)

Just wanted to show you that the Kellogg's/Keebler catalina deal really does work. I bought everything pictured below, and spent...

$47.00. Yes, that is more than I normally spend at the store...more than I try to spend in a week, but this is the perfect sale to stock up on. I also still have a $10.00 catalina coupon that I'll be able to use the next time I shop at Albertsons. I was able to save $321.00...a savings of 87%!!

I bought 100 items:

22 packages of Chips Deluxe Cookies
20 boxes of Kellogg's Fruit Snacks
26 boxes of Kellogg's Pop Tarts
6 boxes of Frosted Mini Wheats
26 boxes of Wheatables crackers

$47.00 for 100 items...$0.47 an item...not a bad stock up price. I'm hoping that I'll be set on fruit snacks, cookies, and Pop-Tarts for a good part of this coming up school year!!

Oh, and I had a LOT of coupons in my own stash that I've been holding on to use with a good sale, so I did not deplete the coupon stash at the store!! :)

AMAZING Deals on Kellogg's/Keebler Products at Albertsons this Week!!

I saw this deal in the Albertsons ad this morning, but before I posted about it I wanted to go up to the store and see how it actually worked. Let me say that this is an AMAZING sale, and includes a lot of stuff that is great to stock up on...products that have a long shelf life and there are a lot of items that are included in this promotion that would make for great back to school treats. Note...the items aren't the healthiest, but everything in moderation, right? :)

The promotion that is being offered this week is buy 10 participating Kellogg's and Keebler products for $30.00 and get $10.00 off instantly...making 10 items for $20.00. PLUS once you check out a catalina for $10.00 will automatically print off. What is a catalina? A coupon good towards your next purchase at Albertsons. This coupon is not for any specific product, but can be used to lower the cost of your next purchase. A lot of times if you use a catalina to help lower the cost of the same deal a second time, an additional catalina will not print out. That is NOT the case at Albertsons this week!! You can do as many of these transactions as you want...pay with your first $10.00 catalina and still receive a second catalina!!

To make this deal even better, there are a LOT of coupons available for this deal. For those of you who are new to coupon shopping and have NO coupons, this is still an amazing deal!! If you have absolutely NO coupons your scenario would look something like this:
Buy 10 participating product $30.00
minus $10.00 (automatically deducted at register)
Final Price: Pay $20.00 and receive a $10.00 catalina
Do this deal a second time
Buy 10 participating products $30.00
minus $10.00 (automatically deducted at register)
minus $10.00 catalina from first transaction
Final Price: Pay $10.00 and receive a $10.00 catalina

You will have bought 20 products and spent $30.00...and still have $10.00 left for your next transaction!!

BUT this deal gets a WHOLE lot BETTER!!! Albertsons has coupons available right at the store that correspond with these deals. I took about 5 minutes to walk around the store and found SEVERAL coupons that work with this promotion!!

Examples:

-coupon for $1.00 off two Keebler Wheatables crackers (found on the cracker aisle by the Wheatables crackers

-coupon for $1.00 off two Kellogg's Fruit Snacks (found on cereal aisle by the Fruit Snacks)

-coupon for $2.00 off two Keebler Chips Deluxe Cookies (found right on the packages...I've also seen these coupons on packages of cookies at Wal-Mart and HEB)

-coupon for $1.00 off milk when you purchase two Mother's Cookies (found on the cookie aisle by the Mother's cookies)

There are also numerous coupons for these products online and in the newspapers:

-coupon for $1.00 off two Pop-Tarts (found in 7/11 RedPlum insert)

-coupon for $1.00 off two Frosted Mini Wheats (found in 7/11 RedPlum insert)

-coupons for $1.00 off two Pop-Tarts (found here this site also has several coupons for various Kellogg's cereals that are part of this promotion)

If you are able to use these coupons you will greatly reduce your out of pocket expenses!!

Pretend Scenario based on coupons available at the store and online (for those of you just starting out and don't already have coupons).

BUY:
2 Keebler Wheatables Crackers
-use coupon for $1.00 off two (found in store)

2 Kellogg's Fruit Snacks
-use coupon for $1.00 off two (found in store)

2 Keebler Chips Deluxe Cookies
-use coupon for $2.00 off two (found on packages at store)

2 Kellogg's Pop-Tarts
-use coupon for $1.00 off two (found here)

2 Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats
-use coupon for $1.00 off two (found here)

Your total before coupons and sale promotions will be $30.00. $10.00 will automatically be deducted at the register. $6.00 will be deducted from your coupons. You will end up paying $14.00 AND will receive a $10.00 Catalina. If you decide to do this exact same scenario a second time (using all of the same coupons and your $10.00 catalina from your first transaction) you will only pay $4.00 AND will receive a second $10.00 catalina!! An AWESOME deal!!

Just wanted to give you a heads up on this sale and give you a pretend scenario in case you are just starting out. For those of you who have been using coupons for awhile, you should have a large assortment of coupons that will work GREAT with this sale!! Remember, stock up when you find items at rock bottom prices, break up your shopping trip into different transactions, and use one catalina to lower your out of pocket expenses, and in return, get an additional catalina!! Have fun shopping!!
I'm going to sit down and eat lunch with my boys and play some card games with them this afternoon. I will get the HEB and Albertsons Ad/Coupon Match Ups done later this afternoon. Hope you are all able to have a relaxing Wednesday!!

Old Navy--Camis for only $2.00!!

Okay, let me start out by saying that I am a little upset about posting this deal. It's an awesome deal, but we no longer have an Old Navy in the city that I live in. I won't be able to take advantage of this deal, but I'm sure that a lot of you will be able to. Starting tomorrow, July 29th, through Saturday, July 31st, you'll be able to buy Layering Camis for only $2.00! Just print out the coupon (found here) or say "Cami 4 Me" to the cashier. I'd feel a little better having the coupon in hand in case the cashier isn't aware of the promotion. These tanks are GREAT for layering under shirts/sweaters, working out (like I know about this :), or great to wear with pj bottoms. If we had an Old Navy here I'd definitely be taking advantage of this deal!! These camis are normally priced at $8.50, so really a GREAT deal!!

Thanks Deal Finding Chik!

Coupon for All You magazine

I get the majority of my coupons from the Sunday newspapers and online, but there is one magazine that I like to buy because it is FULL of coupons. All You magazine is found exclusively at Wal-Mart (or through yearly subscriptions). There's a coupon available for $0.75 off one issue of All You magazine (found here). This newspaper is priced around $2.50 at Wal-Mart. If you think you might be interested in buying this magazine, I'd suggest flipping through it at the store and seeing if there are any coupons that you will use. I've found that when I buy it, I easily make my money back with the GREAT coupon savings that I'm able to use!!

Thanks Money Saving Mom!

Coupon for Go-Gurt

I found a great coupon available for $1.00 off Yoplait Go-Gurt. It's rare to find a coupon for $1.00 off one package, so if you are interested in this coupon I'd go ahead and print it. The last time I checked these were priced a little over $2.00 at Wal-Mart. My boys love it when I freeze these!! Go here to print this coupon.

Coupon for Baskin Robbins Ice Cream

There's a coupon available for Buy one Soft Serve Ice Cream Cone from Baskin Robbins and get one FREE. Go here to print this coupon. Note, this coupon expires on August 8th, so you'll have about a week and a half to use it. I LOVE ice cream!!

Thanks Saving Addiction!

Stockpiling vs. Hoarding

Have you ever seen the shows on television about hoarders? People are basically trapped in their houses with mounds and mounds of stuff packed all around them. It makes me feel claustrophobic just thinking about it! If you've watched any of these shows, you'll find that a lot of the people say they buy things if they find a good sale...whether they need the product or not, just because they think that at one point in the future they might be able to use it. So my question is, what is the difference between stockpiling and hoarding?

In order to really start saving money and seeing a difference in your grocery bill, you must start stockpiling items when they are at rock bottom prices. If you don't do this, you might get a GREAT deal on a specific item, but if you only buy one, you'll be right back to paying full price on it when you run out. Stockpiling is the key to reducing your grocery bill. Every person's stockpile will be different...a family of 3 won't need the same amount as a family of 6. You'll need to evaluate your family's needs to find what an appropriate stockpile should be. Some people might build a stockpile of 4 to 6 weeks worth of pantry staples; while another family might try to get a stockpile that will last for 6 months. It all depends on your family's needs, budget, and storage space.

Like I've said, stockpiling is the key to reducing your grocery budget, but when does it step over the line into hoarding? I think it is when you are so focused on accumulating more stuff just because you can get a good deal and not because you will actually use the items.

As a coupon shopper, you can get so many items for FREE...toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, etc. I was looking through my stockpile last month and I realized that I had 40+ bottles of Men's Body Wash in my closet. Does my family really need that much? I received all of them for free, so how could I pass them up, right? I realized how ridiculous it was...I mean there are so many people in the world who go without and here I was with over 40 bottles of body wash. I put together several bags of toiletries to give away to friends and family. There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying stuff up when you find a good sale, but what are you doing with what you buy? Are you using it to help your family and other families in need, or are you holding on to it because it gives you a sense of security or accomplishment?

Stockpiling is GREAT, but we need to always be aware of our focus. It's not the stuff that we should focus on, but what we do with the stuff. Stockpile for your family and when you have excess, don't hold onto it...GIVE it away!! You'll be able to help your own family and BLESS others as well. There will always be more sales and more opportunities to build your stockpile. Don't lose focus of what is truly important!!

Thanks A Thrifty Mom!

Coupon for Welch's Healthy Start Juice

There's a GREAT coupon available for $1.50 off Welch's Healthy Start Juice. I have not seen this type of juice before, so I'm not sure what it is normally priced at, but $1.50 is definitely a HIGH VALUE juice coupon!! Go here if you are interested in printing this coupon.

Thanks My Sweet Savings!

Nestle Coupons

I just received the July Newsletter from Nestle Family in my email. There are several GREAT coupons available for different Nestle Products. Go here to view these coupons and see if there are any that you are interested in printing.

My favorite coupon is the coupon for $1.00 off two Juicy Juice products. This coupon can be combined with the Target coupon for $1.00 off one Juicy Juice 8 pack. Juicy Juice 8 packs are priced at $2.29 at Target. If you buy two, use two Target coupons and one manufacturer's coupon. You'll pay $1.58, or $0.79 each. I think that's a GREAT stock up price. Remember school is just around the corner, and these will be great for throwing in your kids' lunch boxes!!

Coupon for Libby's Fruit

There's a GREAT coupon available right now for $1.00 off two Libby's Fruit Products (any size or style except for tropical fruit). It seems like I have a really hard time trying to find good coupons on any kind of fruit, so this is definitely a GREAT coupon to print. Go here if you are interested in printing this coupon. Remember that since this is a bricks coupon, you should be able to print it twice!!

Albertsons Trip (July 27)

I also ran to Albertsons this morning. I had several coupons for Hunt's Ketchup that would be expiring at the end of the month, and I wanted to make sure and use them before then. I didn't do as GREAT a job at Albertsons as I did at Target. I bought everything pictured below and spent...

$7.58!

While I was at Albertsons, I found some French's Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce that I'd be able to get for FREE if the coupons would work out. I decided to run up to the cashier and ask her to price check it for me and ask her if it would work with the in ad coupon. I wanted to know if it could be included in the $0.99 in ad coupon for French's Mustard. She told me that it would be included, so I decided to go stock up. I had coupons for $0.50 off French's Mustard that would be doubled...so FREE when combined with the in ad $0.99 coupon. When I got up to the register to check out, it turns out that they weren't included with the in ad coupon...I only ended up paying $0.29 for each of them...still a GREAT deal since they are normally $2.29, but not as GREAT as FREE!! I thought about not buying them...but $0.29 is a good deal and I don't think I'll be able to find a better deal.

I bought:

4 Tony's Pizzas
-used two manufacturer's coupons for $1.00 off 2 (this coupon was found online, and is no longer available)
-used in ad coupon to make each pizza $0.79
Final Price: $1.16 (or $0.29 each)

6 Hunt's Ketchup
-used 6 coupons for $0.20 off Hunt's Ketchup (found in 6/20 SmartSource insert) (These were all tripled)
Final Price: $2.40 (or $0.40 each)

6 French's Honey Dijon Mustard
-used 6 coupons for $0.30 off French's Mustard (found in 6/20 SmartSource insert)
(These were all tripled)
-used in ad coupon to make each Mustard $0.99
Final Price: $0.54 (or $0.09 each)

12 French's Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce
-used 12 coupons for $0.50 off French's Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce (found in 6/6 SmartSource insert) (These were all doubled)
Final Price: $3.48 (or $0.29 each)

2 packages of Dentyne Gum
-used 2 coupons for $1.00 off Dentyne (found in 6/13 SmartSource insert)
Final Price: FREE

This sale ends today, so if you want to try any of these deals you'll need to head out today to take advantage of them!! I'm pretty sure that the price for the Dentyne and Hunt's Ketchup have been the same price all month, so they may still be available after today!

Target Trip (July 27)

After finding all of the new Target coupons at Target.com yesterday, I had to go see if I could find any GREAT deals at Target. It seems like the last several weeks Target hasn't had a lot of GREAT sales, so I was excited to try and find some things!! I bought everything pictured below, and spent...

$2.08. There should be another Wonka Chocolate Bar...but my boys had it as a snack in the car on the way home. After I left the store, I realized that I had an additional $1.00 coupon that I forgot to give the cashier, so my total should have been $1.08. I always say that you should check your receipts/coupons BEFORE leaving the store...sure wish I had taken my own advice! :)

You can find Target coupons at Target.com for Wonka Chocolate, Snyder's Pretzels, Chef Boyardee, Kid Cuisine Meals, Bagel Bites, Juicy Juice, and Sobe Water. There are a lot of other GREAT Target coupons, but these were the coupons that I knew I had manufacturer's coupons that I could combine to double up on my savings. I wrote a detailed list of where to find manufacturer's coupons that will match up with this Target coupons here. Have you found any GREAT deals at Target this week?

Target Coupons Galore!!

Oh my goodness!! I just checked target.com to see if they had issued any new coupons, and I can't believe how many GREAT Target coupons are now available. I'm going to spend some time looking through my coupons to see if there are any manufacturer's coupons that will match up with them. If there are, then I'm sure we'll find some GREAT deals!!
I am finally back!! I had a GREAT time with my family...we spent several days out at the lake and a couple of days in San Antonio. The last guests left yesteray morning, and I think that we are now starting to get back into our normal routine. That means that I can now start searching for deals to post. Hope that all of you had a GREAT week and that you were able to get some awesome deals. I haven't clipped coupons for several weeks, so I'll be spending the next few nights clipping/organizing coupons once my kids are in bed. I'm excited to start coupon shopping again!!

I took a break from all things coupons while everyone was here...I even let my Extra Care Bucks and Register Rewards expire because I didn't want to put the time into looking through the ads while we had family in. I was able to let my sister go through my stockpile and take several large bags full of toiletries and pantry staples home with her. It felt great to be able to give. Now I'll need to start building my stockpile back up again. :) I hope you all found some GREAT deals...I'd love for you to share some of the deals that you've found!!
