Just wanted to point out that I got a new Lowe's ad in the mail today and there are a couple of good deals that we can look forward to. The prices in this ad are not good until Wednesday, February 23rd, but I wanted to point them out now so you can get your coupons ready.

Final Price: $1.74 for 2 bags (just $0.87 a bag)
(I have said before that I won't pay more than $1.00 for a box of cereal. My cereal stockpile is getting pretty low, so I am super excited about this deal. I plan on stocking up next week!!)

Seedless Grapes $0.97/lb.

(This is a great price this time of year!! The last time I was at HEB, grapes were priced over $2.00/lb.)

Please remember that these prices will not begin until Wednesday, February 23rd. I wanted to let you know about them now, so you can be sure to hold onto your ad. Remember that even if you don't shop at Lowe's, you can take the ad into Wal-Mart and price match!!

I'll try to remember to remind you about these deals on Wednesday once the prices are good.

Yoplait Kids Prize Pack Giveaway!!

I don't know about you, but sometimes it's a struggle to find snacks that my boys and I both agree on. I want something that is filling and nutritious, and of course they'd rather have something loaded with sugar. :) Yogurt is something that we can all agree on.

Yoplait Kids has an excellent source of both calcium and vitamin D, a good source of protein and the delicious taste kids demand. It also contains 25% less sugar than the leading kids’ yogurt, and has no high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. Yoplait Kids yogurt is a snack you can feel confident about serving to your kids!

All of my kids like yogurt, but my youngest is particularly picky about his. He has a thing with texture, and doesn't like any added pieces of fruit in his yogurt. I decided to let my kids have Yoplait Kids for a snack this afternoon.

As you can tell, they all enjoyed it...3 full bellies and 3 empty yogurt cups! :)

If you want to find out more about Yoplait Kids you can like them on Facebook (here) or follow them on Twitter (here).

In order for you guys to have a chance to try Yoplait Kids for yourself, I have a great giveaway for you. One of you will be able to win a Yoplait Kids prize pack that includes a coupon for FREE Yoplait Kids yogurt, a foldable travel cooler (to take your yogurt on-the-go), a cool four-piece spoon set, a power magnet picture frame, trendy alphabet-shaped “Kiddie Bands”, a great big bounce ball and a “My First Scavenger Hunt” card game for some after-snack fun.

In order to be entered in this giveaway just leave a comment below letting me know what your favorite healthy snacks for your kids are.

This giveaway will be open until Saturday, February 19th.

The free coupon, prize pack, information and giveaway were all provided by Yoplait through MyBlogSpark. I received a gift pack for my family and one for a lucky reader!

Good luck everyone!!

Albertsons Closing--San Angelo Readers

I meant to write about this several days ago, but with sick kids and life I never got around to it...better late than never, right?

The Albertsons on Sherwood Way will be closing on Saturday. (I believe it's this Saturday, I might be wrong?) Any time a store closes, you can be sure that they will have large sale.

I talked to an employee (manager?) today, and he told me:

-You may still use coupons on clearance items

-Coupons will NOT be doubled/tripled...only taken at face value

-No limit on the number of coupons you use

-If a coupon exceeds the price of the item you are purchasing, they will NOT manually enter the coupon to give you the product free with no overage

-You may NOT use a coupon to get a FREE item. He said that they will not accept FREE coupons, but they will also not accept a coupon that will make a product free. Example, you are buying a product priced at $1.00, and you have a $1.00 coupon that should make the product free. He said you would not be able to use it.

I think that's about it.

These are the sale prices I noticed: (I might be a bit off because I was with my 3 year old and forgot to take notes :)

Greeting Cards 90% off
Cosmetics 70% off
Groceries 40% off
Frozen Foods 25% off

I didn't have a chance to look for deals today, but I wanted to make sure I had accurate information about using coupons for all of you that want to drop by there.

Coupon for Malt-O-Meal Cereal

There's a coupon available here for Buy 3 Malt-O-Meal Cereals, Get one FREE. (You will need to register to be able to print this coupon) I'm not sure what these bags of cereal are priced at, but if you are able to pair this coupon with the coupon for $2.00 off 2 Malt-O-Meal Cereals (found in 1/2 SmartSource insert) it might be a pretty good deal.

The best scenario would be:

Buy 8 bags of Malt-O-Meal Cereal
-use 3 coupons for $2.00 off 2 (for the 6 you have to buy)
-use 2 coupons for Buy 3 get 1 Free (for the 2 you get free)

Note...some stores will allow you to use a coupon on the product you have to BUY in order to get the other product FREE, but some stores will not. It seems like the last time I tried something similar at Wal-Mart they would not let me do it, but I've never had any problem doing this at Target, Walgreens, CVS, etc.

New Coupons

Have you seen the GREAT new coupons available at coupons.com?

Save $1.00 off 2 Crystal Light On the Go Products
Save $1.00 off Kraft Macaroni & Cheese (5 pack)
Save $1.00 off Miracle Whip
Save $1.00 off Velveeta Cheese
Save $1.00 off 2 Oreo Spring Cookies
Save $1.00 off 2 Ritz Spring Crackers

These are all pretty good coupons, but I'm most excited about the coupons for Mac and Cheese and Velveeta. I am down to my last two boxes of Mac and Cheese, and I'm thinking that with this coupon we should get a pretty good deal on it.

It's always a good idea to check the different printable coupon sites out several times a week. They release new coupons quite regularly, and you never know what new coupons will pop up.

Go here and sign up to receive a Proctor and Gamble coupon book with $39.00 worth of coupons in it. Once you sign up, you should receive your coupons in the mail in four to six weeks.

(Click on Request Your Coupons in the middle of the page to get started)

Thanks Krazy Coupon Lady!

Coupon for Duncan Hines Brownies

Go here to print a coupon for $0.50 off one Duncan Hines Brownies. You should be able to print this off twice.

This should make for a great deal on brownies...especially if we wait for them to go on sale at Albertsons...remember this will double up to $1.00 there.

I've also see Duncan Hines Brownies go on sale for around $1.00 at both Wal-Mart and HEB, so no matter where you shop you should be able to get a GREAT deal!

HEB--Hidden Deal

UPDATE: I just looked at my receipt from HEB. Instead of taking off $0.94 for the FREE lettuce, the register automatically took off $3.88...the price of the Kraft Parmesan Cheese. I did the deal twice, and my receipt shows that the coupon for FREE lettuce took off the full amount for the Parmesan Cheese. I was able to get everything pictured below for $0.94...the price of the head of lettuce. I'm not sure if this was a fluke or not, but it is definitely something to watch for. The cashier did not manually enter the amount; the coupon went through and automatically took the $3.88 off. This is an AMAZING deal, so if you are interested I'd definitely run by HEB. I'm not sure if all the coupons will ring up this way, but in my opinion it's definitely worth checking out!

I came across a deal at HEB today that I thought you guys might be interested in. This week HEB has a deal where if you buy Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese you get HEB Fully Cooked Meatballs FREE. That is a pretty good deal in itself, but it gets a lot better.

At the back of the store, there is a large refrigerated case filled with the Meatballs and Parmesan Cheese. Taped on the case are extra coupons that will make this deal even better.

-Coupon for FREE Philadelphia Cream Cheese wyb Parmesan Cheese

-Coupon for FREE Lettuce (up to $1.50) wyb Parmesan Cheese

So the deal looks like this:

BUY:
Kraft Parmesan Cheese ($3.88)
GET FREE:
HEB Fully Cooked Meatballs (using yellow in store coupon)
Philadelphia Cream Cheese (using manufacturer's coupon taped to refrigerated case)
Iceberg Lettuce (using manufacturer's coupon taped to refrigerated case)
Final Cost: $3.88 for all 4 items...savings of $6.40

Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cereal $0.50 a Box

Just wanted to point out an AWESOME deal on Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cereal.

I was looking through the Target coupons (found here), and came across another great Target coupon for $1.00 off Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cereal

Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cereal was priced at $2.50 at Target last week. (I'm assuming that is still the price.)

-use Target coupon for $1.00 off
-AND use man. coupon for $1.00 off (found here or in 1/23 RedPlum insert)
Final Price: $0.50 per box

The last time I was at Target there were several boxes with "Try Me FREE" printed on them, so if you have not taken advantage of this rebate yet, you could buy one box for $0.50 and then submit for a rebate for the full purchase price of $2.50 back...so get PAID to try the cereal!! You may only do this rebate once per household.

We tried this cereal and everyone in my family enjoyed it! Of course I think it tastes better since we can now get it for $0.50 a box. :)
