Be on the lookout for this new coupon book. On the front it says deliciously simple holiday recipes, and on the back there are coupons worth $4.75!
Coupons include:
$1.25 off 3 participating Kraft Dessert Brands (including Baker's Bar Products, Jell-O Pudding or Gelatin, Nilla Wafers, or Philadelphia Cream Cheese)
$1.50 off 2 Ziploc Brand Holiday Containers
$1.00 off 2 Ziploc Brand Holiday Bags
$1.00 off 3 Dole Canned Fruits
We should see sales on baking goods in the next few weeks, so these coupons should makes for some great deals. Also, the Ziploc coupons will be great to combine with after Christmas sales...the coupons don't expire until March 31st!
I found this coupon book at Albertsons...there was a large display of crackers/cookies towards the back of the store next to the refrigerated milk/yogurt/eggs. If you are at Albertsons I'd definitely go and pick up a booklet and hold onto it until a good sale comes along.

Albertsons Trip--November 9
I ran to Albertsons to buy a few cans of Libby's Vegetables. I bought everything pictured below and spent...
$0.53.
12 cans of Libby's Vegetables ($0.59...regularly priced at $0.99)
-used in ad coupon to make each can $0.39
-used 4 manufacturer's coupons for $1.00 off 3 Libby's Vegetables
Final Price: $0.68
Bananas $0.39/lb.
-used $1.00 Catalina coupon that I had from a previous trip
Final Price for everything $0.53, and I saved $12.20. Not the most exciting trip to Albertsons. I just wanted to start stocking up on some canned veggies. We should be seeing some other GREAT prices on canned vegetables/soups over the next few weeks, so plan on stocking up for the coming year. Remember that most canned products should last in your pantry for at least a year...so stock up when they are at their rock bottom prices!! One can of Libby's vegetables is normally priced at $0.99...I was able to buy all 12 for less than what I would pay for 1 can that wasn't on sale...it only makes sense to watch the sales and combine the sale with a coupon and stock up!!

Just got back from Albertsons, and before I post about my trip I had to share something that happened.
I was on the canned veggie aisle stocking up on some Libby's veggies...well, I only had 4 coupons left so I don't know if you would call it stocking up. :) While I was putting the cans in my cart I noticed a woman putting veggies in her cart...only not the dirt cheap Libby's veggies, but the Albertsons brand veggies which were priced at $0.79 each. Libby's veggies are on sale for $0.59, but with the in ad coupon you'll get them for $0.39 and then with the additional $1.00 off 3 manufacturer's coupon you can get them for $0.06 a can (if you still have the $0.50 off 2 you can get them for FREE!)
I debated with myself whether I should point out the difference in the price and offer her a coupon, but my son was getting antsy, so I decided to head to check out before he had a mini-meltdown. I've been thinking about the lady ever since I left the store. There have been times when I've been shopping and I've mentioned a good deal/coupon that would get a product for free to people...even offered to give them a coupon. Some people seem thrilled with the information and others look at me like I'm a little loony. What about you, do you ever mention good deals to strangers that you see shopping? If you do, you might get some strange looks, but other people will be so thrilled with the information. You never know, you might help someone stretch their grocery budget and be able to feed their family a better/healthier variety of foods.

Just wanted to say sorry that the posts and deals have been few and far between the last couple of weeks. We've had a crazy couple of weeks. Hubby had a really big project that was due at the end of October, so he was working LONG days and weekends. They finally finished it and got it turned in for review, so he decided to take several days off work last week...I don't know about at your house, but when he takes off work, it seems like everything stops in the house...hunting for deals, cleaning, blogging, etc. I'm not complaining at all...I LOVE him being home, but things kind of come to a stop when he's here.
While he was taking a few days off from work, our washing machine died and our septic system decided to quit as well...LOVELY!! Over the summer it backed up into our house, so we had it cleaned out then. We started noticing signs that it was getting close to backing up again, so we called someone to come out and check it out...We ended up having to get a whole new septic tank/system put in. We'd been preparing ourselves for having to put a new one in since the summer incident, but still a hard pill to swallow when they actually start doing all the work and you have to write out a big check...seriously like flushing money down the drain. :)
I'm so thankful that throughout this year we've been able to put extra money aside for household emergencies...now time to start buckling down again and using those coupons to try to build up our savings once again! I'm going to be heading to Albertsons in a few minutes to stock up on some canned veggies, but will try to sit down and find some good deals for y'all a little later this afternoon.
Thanks for being patient with me!!
