A Couple Great Coupons to Print!!

There's a great high value coupon out, that will make for some cheap/possibly free stuff...yea!!

If you go to
http://www.campbellkitchen.com/coupon.aspx
there are several good coupons, but the one you will definitely want to print is the $1.00 off any 2 Campbell's Condensed Soups. You should be able to print this off twice. Around Christmas time, these were priced at $0.54...they have since gone back up in price. These go on sale at Walgreens, CVS, and Wal-Mart regularly...so hold on to the coupon, and get some cheap/free soups! This is definitely a high dollar coupon. Most of the time the coupons you get for these soups are $0.30 off 3 or something like that...so definitely print this one off!!

There's also a coupon for $1.00 off any McCormick seasoning at
www.coupons.com (You'll have to change the zip code to 45315 to see it).
You should be able to print this coupon off twice as well. Select McCormick packaged seasonings (Taco, Fajita, etc) are priced around $0.50 at Wal-Mart, so you should be able to get FREE seasoning!!
Ever since my husband and I got married we've talked about the idea of donating to people in need. Every Christmas we've chosen a different project to do as a family to help others out. We started this when his parents asked for that as a Christmas present. They said that they had more than enough, and would like each of their children and their families to do a project for others and to write them a letter about the project for them to read on Christmas morning. What an awesome idea, huh? Anyway, we wanted to donate more, but with a family of five and on one income we seriously had no extra money coming in. I started couponing in December, and since then I've been able to get a lot of items at a fraction of the cost. Our pantry is more full than it has ever been; we have about a 6 month supply of toiletries...I realized that I could go shopping in my own pantry and come up with several bags of groceries to donate to a needy family.

This is probably close to $100 worth of items that I was able to get for a fraction of the cost. I am saying this, not to say "See what I did!" but for all of you to be able to say "I can do that too!!" If this is what one family can do on a very limited budget, can you imagine what could be done if more families would be able/willing to do this?

Using coupons and learning how to shop smart, has truly made a difference in our family budget, but it is my goal for it to make a difference in others' lives as well. Shopping sales and being able to stretch your family's budget is a blessing, but think of how much more of a blessing it will be (for you and the person you donate to) when you give items to a family/organization that is in need!

"...Blessed is he who is kind to the needy." Proverbs 14:21b

"...whoever is kind to the needy honors God." Proverbs 14: 31b

Coupon Preview

Wanted to give you guys a sneak peek of the coupons that are supposed to be in the newspaper on Sunday; this way you can decide if you are going to buy a newspaper, or how many you think you might want to buy. Keep in mind that coupons will vary by region, but I've found that the San Antonio newspaper matches up pretty close to the preview lists. The San Angelo paper usually gets a fraction of the coupons, so keep that in mind when buying your newspapers. It looks like we are supposed to get three inserts this week...2 SmartSource and 1 RedPlum. Hope this information helps some of you!!

This has nothing to do with any sales, coupons, freebies, but I still had to share. :) I sat down at the computer to do Albertsons and HEB ad/coupon matchups with a full bag of Life Savers jelly beans next to me. I was straightening up the desk...putting ads and coupons away...and realized that the bag of jelly beans is over half gone!! That is the last time that I sit down at the computer with candy beside me. :) Please tell me that I am not the only one that does this!!:)

HEB (March 24-March 30)

I realized that since starting this blog, that I haven't written anything about HEB. I started to sit down last week and write an ad/coupon matchup, but there was nothing that looked real good to me. The same is true for this week, but in case some of you shop there regularly, I thought it would be good to do a quick write up.

HEB seems very hit or miss to me. Sometimes they have great meal deals, and other times they don't. Personally, I will not be shopping there this week...but for those of you who do, here's the best of what I see. Also, in their ad they have a tendency to not write prices down, so I'll tell you what coupons will work with the ad, but I will not be able to tell you final prices. Also, remember that with meal deals, you may use a manufacturer's coupon on the product you must buy, but not on the items you get free (except for the instore yellow coupons...do NOT forget to be picking those up while you are shopping). Oh, and one more thing, if you are new to coupon shopping and you don't have a stockpile of coupons yet, HEB is a good place to begin because they have a lot of yellow coupons right there for the taking.

Colgate toothpaste, assorted varieties $0.99
-It doesn't say that you need an instore coupon, but you usually do with this sort of deal. If it is this price without an instore coupon...
-Use $1.00 coupon (if the assorted varieties that are priced at $0.99 are included on the coupon)
I'm guessing that you will have to use an instore coupon, but if not your final price could be FREE.

Colgate Wave or Total Professional Toothbrush $0.99

As I said before, I don't see any great deals at HEB this week, but if you are just beginning to use coupons, you might want to run there and see what sort of deals you can get just by using the yellow coupons that are posted throughout the store!!

Good luck!!

Albertsons Trip (March 24)

Before I post my weekly ad matchups, I always try to go to the store first to see if the coupons really will work the way I think they should. I don't want you to get to the store and have things not work out the way I've told you they should. I ran in there real quick this morning, and purchased everything seen below. I spent...

$5.41.

I had to break up my trip into two different transactions for a couple of reasons. Number 1...you are limited to buying 5 of the Del-Monte Vegetables at the price of $0.49 (I bought 10 cans, so had to run through the line twice). Also, Albertsons will only double/triple 4 of the exact same manufacturer's coupons per transaction...since I purchased 7 bottles of Dawn, I had to break those up into 2 different transactions as well.

7 bottles of Dawn Dish Detergent ($7.00)
-minus 7 $0.25 coupons (all were tripled) $5.25
Final cost: $1.75 (or $0.25 each)

10 cans of Del-Monte Vegetables ($4.90)
-minus 2 $1 coupons $2.00
Final cost: $2.90 (or $0.29 each)

1 can of Albertsons Tomato Sauce ($0.49)
-minus coupon for free Albertsons Tomato Sauce (from playing the Monopoly game) $0.49
Final cost: FREE

4 bottles of French's Mustard ($4.76)
-minus 4 $0.50 coupons (all were doubled) $4.00
Final cost: $0.76 (or $0.19 each)

1 Gallon Milk ($3.58)
-minus coupon for free gallon of milk (from cereal deal I did last week) $3.58
Final cost: FREE

Once you start clipping those coupons, you will be able to do deals like this too!! I promise!!

Albertsons Deals (March 24-March 30)

When I first looked through the Albertson's ad for this week, I didn't see too many great deals. After sitting down with the ad and my coupon binder, I found several deals that would make it worth your while to head over there this week. Please remember, that I am posting about the BEST deals that I see there. I am sure that I will probably miss some things, so go through the ad with your coupons and see if you can find any additional deals that will work for your family. Also, whenever I post about what coupons to use, they will be from the newspaper (various weeks) unless otherwise stated.

They are still running the same cereal deal that they did last week.
Buy 4 boxes of select Kellogg's cereal (4 for $14)
-Get 3 additional boxes free (with in store coupon)
-Receive coupons for three free gallons of milk at checkout.
-Use $1 off 2 boxes of cereal coupons
Final cost $12 (plus you'll be leaving with 3 coupons for free milk)

Buy 24 Pack of Niagara Water ($2.99)
-Get Nabisco Saltine Crackers free (with in store coupon)

Buy 4 6-packs of Pepsi ($10.00)
-Get Capri Sun juice boxes free (with in store coupon)
(To be honest, I'm not sure if this is a good deal, because I've never priced these bottles of Pepsi at other stores).

Nestle Pure Life Water 6-pack ($0.69)

Poptarts 8 ct. ($0.88)
-must use in ad coupon and you are limited to one box per transaction...additional boxes will be $1.99...which is NOT a good price.

Select Del-Monte canned vegetables ($0.49)
limit 5 per transaction
-Use $1.00 off of any 5 cans of Del-Monte fruits or vegetable coupon
Final cost: $0.29 a can (when you buy 5) This is a GREAT stock up price!!

Kool-Aid Bursts ($0.88)

Allen's Frozen Vegetables ($1.00)
-Use $0.55 off coupon
Final cost: $0.45

Dawn Dish Detergent ($1.00)
-Use $0.25 off coupon
Final cost: $0.25 after coupon is tripled. This is a GREAT stock up price!!

Hamburger or Chicken Helper ($1.00)
-Use $0.75 off 3 coupon
Final cost: $0.75 a box (when you buy 3). These are normally priced around $1.50 a box, so you'd be paying half of what you normally would.

12 packs of Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, Mtn. Dew, Sunkist, or 7 Up (4 for $9.88)
-$2.47 each

French's Mustard ($1.19)
-Use $0.50 off coupon
Final cost: $0.19 after coupon is doubled. This is a GREAT stock up price!!

THREE DAY SALE (prices good from Friday the 26th until Sunday the 28th)

2 Liter Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, or Sunkist ($0.88)
-there is a limit of 5

Sara Lee Classic White Bread ($0.99)
-Use $0.55 coupon
Final cost: $0.44

Look through your ad and look through your coupons and see if you can match up any deals that I might have missed!!

Good Luck!!

Olay Rebate Reminder

Remember the Olay Rebate that I mentioned in an earlier post...this week at Walgreens, you'll be able to make this into a great deal. Buy the Olay Quench Body Lotion for $7.99, and get the Olay In Shower Body Lotion for free.

Free Baby Lotion Sample

How often do you get excited to check the mail? If you are like most people, then the answer is not very often...too many bills, bills, and more bills to get excited, right? Over the last several months, I've started requesting free samples from different companies, and it makes checking the mail so much more interesting.

I found a sample that is available today, that would be great for all of you moms. Baby Barn is sending out 2 2.5 oz bottles (think travel size) of their baby body wash and baby lotion. These would be great to stick in diaper bags, or if your kids have outgrown this stuff, great for shower gifts or to donate to others. To request your free sample go to:

http://www.baby-barn.com/washlotioncombosample.php

Samples usually take between 4 to 6 weeks to arrive, and by that time you will probably have forgotten about requesting it, so it will be like a little present in the mail. :)

Diaper Deal Reminders

Just wanted to remind all of you about the diaper deals this week.

WALGREENS
At Walgreens Huggies Diapers are priced at $8.99, and if you buy 3 packs you will receive a $5 Register Reward. There are several spots you can go to get coupons for Huggies diapers.

www.coupons.com has a $3 coupon (you should be able to print this off twice). There have been reports that this coupon has reset, so if you printed it off before, you might want to go there again and see if it has reset since the last time you printed it.

If you become a fan of Huggies on Facebook, you will be able to print a $3 coupon.

Go here to get another $3 coupon...you should be able to print from this link twice.
http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?bt=vi&tqnm=zcroccy60832626&o=62589&c=TW&p=UtwDRs5z

There were also $1.50 and $2.00 coupons in this Sunday's newspaper.

With all of these coupons, you should be able to get several bags of diapers at a good price!!

CVS

CVS also has a diaper deal this week. If you buy Pampers diapers, priced at $8.97, you will receive a $3.00 Extra Care Buck. You are allowed to do this deal twice.

There were $2.00 coupons off Pampers diapers in the newspaper a couple of weeks ago, so when you combine the coupons with the Extra Care Bucks you will be able to get some relatively inexpensive diapers!!

Good Luck!!

Swagbucks...Earn prizes by searching the Internet

I joined Swagbucks at the end of December, and since joining i have earned $50.00 in Amazon gift cards.

What is Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is a search engine (like google, yahoo, ask.com), except when you use the Swagbucks search engine, you have the opportunity to earn Swagbucks. You can then trade in the Swagbucks that you earn for different prizes...electronics, music, but my favorite is gift cards. The gift cards that I earn are going into my Amazon account, and I'm saving them up to help with Christmas this next year. I am hoping by then to have at least $100. Not a whole lot, but it is free money and it will definitely help stretch our Christmas budget.

I've had people tell me that they don't ever search online, so it won't work for them. Before I joined Swagbucks, I didn't search either. When I joined, I put the Swagbucks toolbar on my Internet Explorer toolbar. Now instead of typing in the web address where I used to, I simply "search" it through the Swagbucks search engine. Example, instead of typing in www.facebook.com, I simply search facebook through Swagbucks. No real difference, but when I do it this way I have the chance to earn Swagbucks.

I was very skeptical of this when I first started, so I didn't want to tell anyone about it. After doing it for 3 months, I am amazed at the fact that I am essentially earning free money just by going to different websites. I've told several family members and friends about this, and they are now earning Swagbucks too.

Swagbucks does offer more points if you sign up for different programs through them, but I have never done any of that. The Swagbucks that I've earned have come from simply searching the Internet. I thought some of you could benefit from "free money" too. It takes several days to get the hang of it, but if you are interested in trying it, simply click on the banner below to get started.

Free Lunchables and Taco Seasoning!!

Did you notice the coupon for $1.oo of one package of Lunchables Lunch Combinations that was in yesterday's paper? These are normally priced at around $1.46 at our local Wal-Mart. I ran by there today and they had a couple different varieties on sale for $1.00...so with the coupon, you'll be able to get this for FREE!! Prices at Wal-Mart will vary depending on where you live, but if you happen to be heading to Wal-Mart, swing by the sandwich meat section and see if you can find yourself some free Lunchables. The ones that were priced at $1.00 were on the top shelf at the Wal-Mart on Sherwood Way.

A couple weeks ago there were also coupons for $0.75 off any McCormick seasoning in the newspaper. There were also coupons for $1.00 off any McCormick seasoning at http://www.coupons.com/ (I'm not sure if these are still available). Certain McCormick Taco/Fajita seasonings are priced at $0.50 at Wal-Mart right now, so if you happen to have these coupons, you can also get yourself some free seasoning along with your free sandwiches!!
Good Luck!!

CVS Trip March 21

My new goal for shopping at CVS and Walgreens is to see how many items I can get for under $5. I also want to try to leave the store with at least a few Extra Care Bucks every week, so that I will be able to use those ECBs for next week's shopping trip. I bought everything pictured below (minus a Cadbury Egg that didn't make it into the picture...my husband got ahold of it :), and spent...

$0.57!! Yes 57 cents!! And I left the store with $3 in Extra Care Bucks!! I broke my trip up into two different transactions.
Transaction #1
I started my shopping trip with a coupon that CVS emailed to me for $4 off any $20 purchase. In order to use it, my total had to be at least $20 BEFORE coupons!!
2 bottles of Cover Girl Liquid Foundation $6 each
-minus 1 coupon for Buy one Cover Girl Product Get one Free (for the one I got free)
-minus 1 coupon for $1 off any Cover Girl Product (for the one I had to pay for)
Final cost: $5 (This also generated a $3 Extra Care Buck)
1 Air Wick Scented Oil starter kit $4.99
-minus 1 $4 coupon
Final cost: $0.99
1 tube of Colgate Total Toothpaste $3.99
-minus 1 $1 coupon
Final cost: $2.99 (This also generated a $3.99 Extra Care Buck)
1 100 Grand Candy Bar
-The cashier made me get something extra, because after coupons the store would have owed me money, and she wouldn't allow that...so I had to pick this up to get my total back up to a positive number.
I also used the CVS store coupon for $4 off any $20 purchase and a $5 Extra Care Buck from last week.
Total for Transaction #1...$0.05, and I received $6.99 in Extra Care Bucks
Transaction #2
1 bag of Pampers diapers $8.97
-minus 1 $2 coupon
1 Cadbury Egg
-Again, the cashier made me pick up something extra, because after coupons and Extra Care Bucks, the store would have owed me money.
I also used the $6.99 in Extra Care Bucks that I earned from Transaction #1.
Total for Transaction #2...$0.52, and I received $3 in Extra Care Bucks.
What can you get for under $5.00? Once you start using your coupons and Extra Care Bucks, you'll be surprised at how many items you can get for $5!!
Good luck!!
