Unadvertised Deals at HEB

I went to HEB this morning to take advantage of the meal deal, but I was pleasantly surprised to find several other deals.

KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce on sale for $1.00
-use coupon for $1.00 off KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce (found in yesterday's SmartSource insert)
Final Price: FREE

Ivory Soap (3 pack) on sale for $0.97
-use coupon for $1.00 off Ivory Soap or Body Wash (found in 5/1 Proctor and Gamble insert)
Final Price: FREE (This coupon scans in and takes the full $1.00, so you'll get $0.03 overage...make sure to have other items in your basket to absorb this)

Neutrogena Facial Soap (Single bar) $1.97
-use Yellow HEB coupon for $2.00 off select Neutrogena Skin Care (found right on the aisle next to Neutrogena products...probably also found on the large board at the front of the store) (This coupon expires on 5/17!)
Final Price: FREE (Again, this coupon takes off the full $2.00, so you will need something in your cart to absorb the overage)

There was a large bin in the middle of the store that was full of clearance merchandise. It was a mess, but after digging through it I found some great deals.

-use coupon for $1.00 off 2 packs of Orbit gum (found in 4/17 SmartSource insert)
Final Price: $0.03 each

Stride Shift Gum Clearance for $0.68
-use coupon for $1.00 off 2 packs of Stride gum (found in 4/3 SmartSource insert)

I also wanted to let you know that the Meal Deal is really a pretty good deal. If your family eats a lot of sandwiches, then this might be a good time to stock up on some items. I know that as it gets hotter I feel less and less like cooking, so summer meals often consist of sandwiches and fruit salad/pasta salads around here. I'm going to be taking advantage of this meal deal a few times before the sale is over. (I believe we have until May 24th to take advantage of this deal).

Select Oscar Mayer lunch meat (There are 2 large displays set up for this meal deal...one by the produce and one in an end cap towards the register...the displays have the large family packs of lunch meat. You do NOT need to buy the large sizes, the ad and coupon state that the deal is good on the 8 oz. packages...which in my opinion is a better deal. The 8 oz. lunch meat is priced at $2.88.

Final Price: $10.72 (There are also coupons for $0.55 off Kraft Cheese Slices. These coupons were found in a Kraft coupon booklet that was found at several stores a few weeks ago. These are not widespread, so I'm not including them in the price. If you have them though, be sure to use them!)

The bread, lunch meat, and cheese can all be thrown in the freezer, so you don't have to worry about waste. :)
