San Angelo--Donations Needed for Those Fighting Fire

For those of you in San Angelo, TX, I am sure you have been hearing reports of the wild fires that are getting a little too close for comfort. I wanted to take a minute to let you know that the ASU Police Department is taking up donations for those fighting the fires.

I received this update from my church's email/prayer list:

NEEDED: Gatorade, snacks, eye drops, water, chap stick, cash for gas for GCVFD (Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department), and any other items that might be of assistance to the firefighters and volunteers who are working around the clock to preserve lives and property.Until 5:00 PM today, Friday, the ASU Police Department mobile operations trailer will be set up in the Foster Field parking lot near the LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center, 1620 University, for collection of these items to be delivered to the appropriate location(s) as designated by emergency management officials. Please do not go by any of the local fire departments to deliver as they are extremely busy.

If you happen to have any of these items on hand in your stockpile, or have time/money to go buy some of these items I am sure that they would be so thankful for any little thing we can do to help.

If you aren't able to help, or don't live in the area please continue to pray for the families that are affected by this fire and for the safety of all those who are fighting this fire.
