CVS Trip March 14, 2010

I also went to CVS today. My goal was to not buy anything unless I had a coupon for it, and to spend less than $5. I bought everything pictured below and spent...

$3.11, AND I received $6 in Extra Care Bucks (ECBs) that I can use the next time I go to CVS.
6 Degree deodorants priced at $2.50 each
$2.50 x 6 = $15.00
I used 3 coupons for $3 off 2 Degree deodorant coupons found at www.dontfretthesweat.com
$15.00-$9.00=$6.00
CVS is running a deal where if you buy $15 worth of Dove or Degree products, you will receive $5 in Extra Care Bucks when you check out.
1 Herbal Essence Shampoo $2.99
I used one $1 coupon off any Herbal Essence product found in today's paper.
$2.99-$1.00=$1.99
CVS is running a deal where if you buy any Herbal Essence or Aussie product, you will receive $1 in Extra Care Bucks when you check out.
1 Herbal Essence Hairspray $2.99
I used one coupon for buy 1 Herbal Essence shampoo get one Herbal Essence styling product free from previous newspaper.
$2.99-$2.99=$0.00
I also used $5 in ECBs from my shopping trip to CVS last week.
After store promotions and coupons, I saved $28.13 and spent $3.11. After factoring in the $6 in Extra Care Bucks that I received today, it was like getting paid to take the products that I purchased home.
Look through your coupons and see if you can do some of these same deals, or look through the ad and try to come up with some of your own.
Good luck!!

  1. Love the blog, Lucrecia! I did a similar deal today, bought eight bottles of deodorant and paid $0.00. I thought for sure i would have to pay tax, but somehow not. None of them are brands we use, so I'll take them to a shelter. But, sure was fun.

    Really enjoy your blog!
