Target Trip (September 20)

I went to Target this morning for the sole purpose of seeing if they had any school supplies still on clearance. I was able to find several good deals while I was there. I bought everything pictured below, and spent...



$6.04, and saved $47.16!

4 Glade Sense and Spray Starter Kits (price cut to $5.04 each)
-used Target coupon for $3.00 off (found in 9/12 SmartSource insert)
-used man. coupon for $3.00 off (found in 8/22 SmartSource insert)
Final Price: All 4 for FREE (plus $3.84 in overage)
NOTE...Target has recently changed their computer system, so now most coupons automatically adjust down to the purchase price of an item...no overage...so I was very surprised when these coupons did not adjust down. If you decide to do this deal, I would not go in expecting overage. I'm not sure why these did not adjust down for me.

12 Band-Aids (travel size) ($0.97 each)

NOTE...These coupons only took $0.24 off, so I mentioned to the cashier that she should adjust them to $0.48 each (price of 2 folders), she adjusted all of the coupons to $0.48 except for 3 of them which for some reason automatically took $1.00 off...Again, I have no idea why the register did this.

I was excited about finding the apple sauce on clearance...there was a whole endcap FULL of applesauce. I have a hard time finding good deals on these, and I usually end up buying them at Sam's...it's around $8 or $9 for 36 cups there. I was able to purchase 60 apple sauce cups and everything else for less than what I would normally spend on 36 cups!

Wal-Mart--Smucker's Jelly for $0.58

If you printed out the coupon for $1.50 off any one Smucker's Jelly, Jam, or Preserves then you'll be able to get a GREAT deal on jelly! (This coupon is no longer available, so I hope you printed it when I first posted about it!)

Smucker's Jelly is Priced at $2.08 at Wal-Mart, so you'll only have to pay $0.58 after coupon! In my opinion, this is a GREAT deal on jelly.

Albertsons Trip (September 20)

I ran to Albertsons to see if I could find any good deals. With all the Buy one Get one FREE sales I was expecting to come home with a pretty good haul. I wanted to stock up on FREE Gain Dish Soap, FREE Nestle Nesquik Chocolate milk, and inexpensive Corndogs, but Albertsons was completely sold out of all of them...something makes me think that there might be some other coupon shoppers in San Angelo. :) I ended up getting a raincheck for the Gain, and improvising my shopping trip. I bought everything pictured below, and spent...

Final Price: $0.98 for 4 (or $0.24 each)
(I was planning on buying a few more of these, but there were only 8 left at the store and I didn't want to clear the shelves for other shoppers.)

3 Barilla Piccolini Penne Pasta $1.25 each
-used 3 coupons for $0.75 off (found in 8/29 SmartSource insert)
Final Price: $1.50 for 3 (or $0.50 each)

Final Price for Shopping Trip: $3.98..I was able to buy everything and spend less than what it would have cost to buy 2 of the Danimals Crush Cups before sales/coupons. It really does pay when you combine sales with coupons!

I didn't buy a whole lot at Albertsons today, but other than milk, bread, and fresh fruits/veggies we don't need a whole lot of groceries right now so I focused on buying items that were the best deals!
