Stock Up and Plan Ahead

I'm sure a lot of you already know this information, but I still wanted to post this as a reminder for you...or if you are new to couponing as a heads up:

It seems like every year around November and December stores run a lot of GREAT sales for the holidays. I really encourage you to think past the holidays and stock up for your family for the coming year.

Items that we should find at stock up prices:

Baking Goods
-Flour
-Sugar
-Nuts
-Chocolate chips
-Vanilla
-Spices
-Cake Mixes
-Frosting

Canned Goods
-Soups
-Campbell's Cream of Mushroom/Cream of Chicken Soups
-Diced Tomatoes
-Tomato Sauce/Paste
-Vegetables
-Chicken/Beef Stock
-Cranberry Sauce
-Evaporated Milk

Boxed Goods:
-Stuffing Mix
-Boxed Potatoes

When you are doing your weekly shopping trips, buy items for your weekly needs FIRST. If you have money leftover think, think about stocking up on some of these items. Always check expiration dates, and think long-term...I'd rather spend $0.25 on a can of vegetables now rather than $0.75 on the same can in a few weeks.

Also, this is a great time of year to stock up on some of these pantry staples and BLESS someone else!! Think about putting a box together of some staples and dropping them by the food pantry...or call up a local church and ask if they know someone that could use some help. A box with food you picked up for a few dollars can make a world of difference in someone else's life.
