Getting Started at Walgreens this Week

Walgreens is definitely the most confusing of all the stores, but with a little work you can save a LOT of money.

For those of you just starting out, I will try to walk you through two transactions that will get you started rolling Register Rewards at Walgreens.

Transaction #1:

Buy 3 Gillette Body Washes $10.00
Buy 3 Gillete Deodorant $4.99 each (approximate price)
-use 3 coupons for Buy 1 Gillette Body Wash Get Deodorant Free (found in 5/1 Proctor and Gamble insert)
-use 3 coupons for $2.00 off Gillette Body Wash (found in 5/15 RedPlum insert)
Final Price: Pay $4.00 and receive a $3.00 Register Reward

Transaction #2:

Buy 2 Softsoap Body Wash $3.00 each
-use $3.00 Register Reward from Transaction #1
Final Price: Pay $3.00 and Receive a $4.00 Register Reward

After both of these transactions you will have spent $7.00 on 5 body washes and 3 sticks of deodorant, but you will still have a $4.00 Register Reward to use on your next trip to Walgreens.

If you do these transactions and the transactions I listed for CVS, then you'll end up with 5 body washes and 6 sticks of deodorant for right at $10.00...and you'll have $6.00 in store rewards to use next week...that is a GREAT start to a stockpile!!
