HEB--Cookware and FREE Food!

While looking through the HEB ad for this week, I noticed several different deals where if you buy cookware, you get several food items for free. I quickly moved on to look for other deals, but then I started thinking about the cookware deals.

If any of you have people you know who are starting college, moving out, getting married, etc. then they might be needing cookware items...think Graduation, Christmas, Wedding Showers...you could pick up some cookware for gifts and benefit from the FREE food that you could get from the deals this week.

It's never too early to start putting items back for gifts, and you just might be able to get some FREE groceries while marking people off your list.

If you go to HEB and need an in store coupon, then you will not be able to use the additional $1.00 coupon...unless the HEB coupon is labeled "B.")

Velveeta Coupon

Go here to print a coupon for $1.00 off one Velveeta Queso Blanco 32 oz. product.

It seems like Velveeta cheese coupons only come around once or twice a year, so if you use Velveeta then I'd go ahead and print now.

My middle son LOVES cheese dip, so I'll definitely be printing this coupon.

Thanks Hip2Save!

HEB: Hot Pocket/Digiorno Pizza Deal

I went to HEB today, and I noticed an unadvertised deal that you might be interested in.

BUY:
Hot Pockets or Lean Pockets (5 count) (I can't find where I wrote down the price. I believe it was $4.88.)
GET FREE:
Digiorno Pizza (Individual Size)

Of course this wouldn't be a real deal unless there was a coupon to go along with it. There's a coupon for $1.00 off 2 Hot Pockets that you can print here.

Deal:
2 Hot Pockets ($9.76)
2 Digiorno Pizzas ($5.96)
-minus $1.00 off 2 Hot Pockets and 2 yellow coupons for FREE Digiorno
Final Price: $8.76

For $8.76 you'll be getting 10 Hot Pockets and 2 individual Digiorno pizzas...so 12 lunches/snacks...works out to $0.73 each.

This isn't the greatest deal, but I know of several people who pack Hot Pockets in their kids' lunches almost every day. If this is something you do, or are thinking about doing, then this might be a good time to stock up on several boxes.

Hostess Coupon

Go here and like Hostess on Facebook, and you'll be able to print a coupon for $0.50 off any Hostess product.

Coupons for Hostess products are few and far between, so if you are interested I'd go ahead and print now. You should be able to print this off twice.

I was at Albertsons this afternoon, and I noticed that the individual Hostess snacks were on sale for $1.00 (regularly $1.49). Since this coupon has no size restrictions on it, you'll be able to grab a Hostess snack for FREE once coupon is doubled!

FREE Skittles at Walgreens

In Walgreen's ad this week there is an in ad coupon that makes Mars candy only $0.50. You can also use the coupon for $1.00 off 2 Skittles (found here) to get two packages completely FREE!!

You will be able to print this coupon off twice per computer, so enjoy some FREE candy.

Stock Up Day

The last few days I have been very busy. I woke up this morning and realized that I never went to the store to stock up on the best deals of the week. Since the new grocery store ads come out tomorrow, I decided that I needed to make the rounds this morning. I didn't purchase a large amount of food. Instead I focused on stocking up on ground beef. Albertsons had ground beef on sale for $1.98/lb...the best price I've seen in the last few months, so the majority of the remainder of my weekly grocery budget went to buying 12 lbs. of ground beef. I also purchased 6 Oscar Mayer Carving Board meats that were $0.99 after coupons. I purchased some at Albertsons and also price matched some at Wal-Mart.

All of the nonfood items were free or money makers with the exception of the Gain Dish Detergent, which was $0.19 after $0.50 coupons were doubled.

I won't do a breakdown of all of the deals, since the majority of the sales end today. I will try to do better about getting my stock up trip done earlier this coming week.

I ended up spending $40.98 (almost $30.00 of that was for the ground beef and lunch meat, so everything else came to just over $10.00), and I saved $133.78.
