The Stouffer's Coupon and Nesquik Coupon can be used in combination with a couple of Combo Locos at HEB this week. The Evaporated milk coupon can be used at Albertsons to get each can for $0.50, and I believe that I saw the TollHouse Morsels on sale for $2.00 at Albertsons. Does anyone else know of any good deals on them?

Albertsons--Update on Jose Ole Taquitos

In the ad this week it has Jose Ole Taquitos (20-22.5 oz.) on sale 10 for $10.00, or $1.00 a box. I had to run by the library this morning, so I decided to make a quick run into Albertsons to pick some up. When I got there, I noticed that the individual Jose Ole Burritos were priced at $1.00 and the Jose Ole Taquitos that are supposed to be on sale for $1.00 are still marked at $5.69 (or $5.89...I can't quite remember). I double checked the ad and went ahead and put several boxes of them into my cart.

When I went to check out, the boxes rang up at $5.69 ($5.89?). I showed the cashier the ad, and she happily adjusted the price for each box down to $1.00.

Now, I'm not sure if this is a misprint in the ad, or if there was a mistake in changing the price of these items. I do know that the cashier said I bought what was pictured in the ad, and that she would change the price for me.

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up on this, so you don't get charged more than what you are expecting. The $1.00 coupon will NOT work on the individual sized Jose Ole products, but when in doubt ask the cashier. Of course do it in a polite way. When I saw that it was ringing up for over $5.00 I simply said that the ad showed they were supposed to be on sale for $1.00. I then showed her the ad and it was taken care of in less than a minute.

Let me know if this works for you!

Walgreens--Trip 2

I made another run to Walgreens today. I usually only go there once a week, but I had to drop off a movie at Blockbuster. Since I was there anyway, I decided to stop in to see if I could score any good deals! I bought everything pictured below and spent...

$0.09! I LOVE Walgreens!!

I did this in 2 separate transactions:

Transaction #1:
6 SunKist
2 7-Up
2 Dr. Pepper
(All of these were on sale for $1.00 and if you spend $10.00 on participating products you'll receive a $3.00 Register Reward and 2 RedBox FREE rental codes at checkout).
I used 4 coupons for Buy one SunKist/7-Up Get 1 FREE (found in 9/19 SmartSource insert)
I also used a $6.00 Register Reward from purchasing Contac
Total for Transaction #1: $0.00 AND received a $3.00 Register Reward!

Transaction #2:
1 Colgate Sensitive $3.49
-used coupon for $1.00 off Colgate Sensitive (found in 10/10 SmartSource insert)
3 Royal Gelatin $0.69
-used in ad coupon to make them each $0.20
I also used the $3.00 Register Reward that I earned from Transaction #1.
Total for Transaction #2: $0.09 AND received a $3.50 Register Reward!

At Walgreens and CVS it's all about rolling your rewards to spend the least amount of money out of pocket!!

Some Good Deals at Target and Walgreens

I made a quick trip to Target and Walgreens today. I bought everything pictured below, and spent...

$1.78! I saved $29.68.

TARGET:

Target is currently running a special promotion on Digiorno pizza. If you buy 2 of them for $4.50 each, you will receive a California Kitchen or Digiorno single size pizza for FREE!

Total for Target was $6.00, but I used a $5.00 Target Gift Card that I received after purchasing Mott's Apple Juice several weeks ago...taking my total down to just $1.00!!

WALGREENS:

I did my purchases at Walgreens in 3 separate transactions so I was able to roll my Register Rewards from one deal to the next.

Transactions 1 and 2 were exactly the same:

1 Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste $3.49
-used coupon for $1.00 off Colgate Sensitive (found in 10/10 SmartSource insert)
Final Price: $2.49

1 Butterball Chicken Broth $0.99
-used in ad coupon for 2 for $1.00

(After each transaction I received a Register Reward for $3.50.

Transaction 3:

Contact Cold and Flu $6.00
(There are coupons available for this product, but I didn't plan ahead)
Final Price: $6.00

2 Butterball Chicken Broth $0.99
-used in ad coupon for 2 for $1.00
Final Price: $1.00

Paid with 2 $3.50 Register Rewards from Transactions 1 and 2. Total Due: $0.00
(After this transaction I received a Register Reward for $6.00.)

Before I began coupon shopping, I would not have thought a thing about spending $2.50 on a single tube of toothpaste...well, I would have thought it was ridiculous how much things cost, but of course I would still buy it because everyone needs toothpaste, right? It's really amazing how knowing how to effectively use coupons can drastically shrink your grocery budget. I was able to buy everything today for less than what I used to spend on a single tube of toothpaste!

FREE Tic Tacs at Target

I ran to Target this morning and wanted to let you know that I found Green Apple Tic Tacs on clearance for $0.72. (I found them on an endcap in the toiletry section.) If you use the coupon for $0.75 off Tic Tacs (found in 10/3 RedPlum insert) you'll get them for FREE!
