Albertsons Ad/Coupon Match Up (September 15 - 21)

It looks like it is the week of the Buy one Get one FREE sales! Remember at Albertsons if there is a Buy one Get one FREE sale, you are allowed to use TWO coupons...one for the item you buy and one for the item you get FREE. Albertsons will also triple coupons with a value up to and including $0.39, and will double coupons with a value up to and including $0.50. All final prices that I will be calculating will be based on the assumption that you use TWO coupons for the Buy one Get one FREE sales. I will only be listing the items from the ad that have coupons available to use with them, or ones that seem like a pretty good deal even without the use of coupons. Of course, you should always look through the ad to see if there is something that I've missed, or something that you think is a good deal! I put the deals that I think are definite stock up prices in bold. Remember that this might be different for your family and your budget...this is just a guideline for those of you who are just starting out!

Not the Best HEB Trip (September 14)

I had several coupons that were getting close to expiring, so I decided to run into HEB and see if I could find any good deals. I bought several items that I normally wouldn't purchase (Go-Gurt and Toaster Strudels), but my older boys have been asking to have them in their school lunches so I decided to surprise them! I bought everything pictured below and spent...

$14.68, and I saved $41.01!

2 HEB Split Top Bread (Clearance priced at $0.50 each)

5 Kraft Shredded Cheese ($2.00 each)
-used coupon for $5.00 off 5 Kraft Cheese Items (found here)

5 Wolf Brand Chili ($1.30 each)
-used HEB coupon for FREE Chili when you buy Kraft Cheese

5 HEB Corn Chips ($2.00 each)
-used HEB coupon for FREE Corn Chips when you buy Kraft Cheese

4 Yoplait Go-Gurt ($2.26 each)
-used 2 coupons for $1.00 off 2 Go-Gurts (found in 9/12 General Mills Coupon insert))

4 Toaster Strudels ($1.88 each)
-used HEB coupon for FREE Toaster Strudels when you buy Go-Gurt

4 BumbleBee Tuna Pouches ($0.79 each)
-used 2 coupons for $1.00 off 2 Bumblee Tuna (found in home mailer)

2 Colgate Toothpaste ($0.99 each)
-used 2 coupons for $0.75 off (found in 8/29 SmartSource insert)

Today wasn't the best shopping trip to HEB, but I was still able to save around 74%! Without coupons or sales this would have cost over $55.00...well over my weekly grocery budget, but with the right sales/coupons you can really make your grocery budget stretch!

Amazing Money Maker at CVS!

There is an AWESOME money maker at CVS this week, if you have the right coupons.
I bought everything pictured below and spent...

$1.73. I said it was a money maker right? Well, I also left the store with a $6.00 Extra Care Buck and I can submit for a $10.00 rebate from Olay! After all is said and done, I will make a profit of $14.27 after purchasing the three items above.
Here's how I did it (and you can too if you have the correct coupons):

2 Olay Complete Moisturizers ($8.79 each)
1 Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Roller ($18.99)
Total: $36.57 (plus tax)

-used coupon for $4.00 off $20.00 CVS purchase (found here) (Hand this coupon to the cashier FIRST)
-used 2 coupons for $3.00 off Olay Moisturizers (these were mailed to me after signing up for FREE samples)
-used 1 coupon for FREE Olay Anti-Aging Roller Product when you buy 2 Olay Moisturizers (found in 9/12 SmartSource insert)
-used $5.98 in Extra Care Bucks
Final Cost After Coupons: $1.73 AND a $6.00 Extra Care Buck for purchasing Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller

I am also submitting for a $10.00 rebate from Olay that can be found here. This rebate is only valid for purchases made between 6/30 and 9/17, so if you are interested in this you must make your purchses in the next couple of days.

If you do not have any Extra Care Bucks to start out with or the $3.00 Olay Moisturizer coupons, you should still be able to turn this deal into a money maker. Here's how:

2 Olay Complete Moisturizers ($8.79 each)
1 Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Roller ($18.99)
Total: $36.57 (plus tax)

-use $4.00 off $20.00 CVS coupon (mentioned above)
-use 2 coupons for $1.00 off Olay Moisturizer (found in 8/15 RedPlum insert and 9/12 SmartSource insert)
-use 1 coupon for FREE Olay Anti-Aging Roller Product when you buy 2 Olay Moisturizers (found in 9/12 SmartSource insert)
Final Cost: Pay $11.58 (plus tax) AND you will receive a $6.00 Extra Care Buck, and then submit for the $10.00 Olay Rebate...when all is said and done, this will turn into around a $4.00 money maker!

Target--School Supply Clearance

I ran into Target (in San Angelo) this morning to see if I could find any good deals, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that their school supplies were all marked down 75% off!! I bought everything pictured below, and spent...

$2.08!

I bought:
17 one subject notebooks
10 packages of loose leaf paper
2 rulers
2 compasses
2 protractor sets

I am putting items back for next year (or for in the middle of this year when the teachers send home notes saying they need more items :) If you have any children in school, or ones that will be in school soon, it would be a good time for you to go stock up on items that you'll need for next year. I spent less for everything I bought today than for 1 compass at regular price.

Note...I was at Target around noon today, and they had a TON of notebooks, folders, loose leaf paper, rulers left...not a lot of binders, pencils, pens, etc. With the prices as low as they are I don't think the items will last very long, so if you are interested it might be worth it for you to make a trip over there today.
